Constantly being logged out with safari

Recommended Posts

For some reason, when I log in using my iPhone, the website logs me out constantly.

Since this is what many of us use on travel, this makes accessing CC while on a trip for a cruise rather difficult. Which really reduces how efffective this message board can be. Sure makes using the roll call difficult as we head to the ship.

Can someone look into this and fix it, if an App is not going to happen?

thanks.

On your iPhone, have you tried clearing browser cookies and cache for the CC website?

See this post for details on the app:

That would log me out of every other site I’m on. Just to fix a technical error of the new board.

This has been happening ever since the new board started.

Im tired of it and will not log back in on my phone next time it happens.

No. One can clear cookies for a particular website only.

It is an annoying glitch but I have autofill on so that when I have to login on my iPhone it is only one click, not typing in the username and password. I have to do it about once a day on my computer too for Cruise Critic.

It is somewhat hidden, an advanced feature but you can clear the cookies for particular websites on your iPhone.

Settings>Safari>Advanced>Website Data. Advanced is at the bottom of the Safari settings. Opening Advanced and Website Data will load all thei individual web sites with data. Find Cruise Critic. Click Edit on the upper right and you can delete the Cruise Critic data without deleting data on other web sites.

I’ve just deleted (again) the cookies for cruisecritic. Will see what happens. It needs to be fixed though because cookies are sent every time you visit the site.

And had to log in again. I’m not trawling through to find CC to delete those cookies every time.
