Thats crazy!  I just might.

I will be in 8250 with my wife and boys and the old farts will be in 8254.

Looking forward to your live review.  Hopefully you won't have many pinnacles on your sailing.

Right. I saw in your review.  I was the one asking about the fold out couch picture!.  If there’s too many pinnacles my 7 year old will take them out. J/k. 🙂. We are going in the month of October which tells me there might be quite a few. Since it’s off season.

we will be in a junior suite on the Symphony in May 2019 (97 days!). I have heard different things about folks in a junior suite being able to access the coastal kitchen for dinners. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks.

JS guests have access to CK on a space available basis.  They may let you dine there every night, or limit the number of nights.

I just upgraded us the other day from a JS to GS 8250 on Symphony, too!  It will be our first time in a full suite. DH is afraid I'll never want to go back to a JS, or, heaven forbid, a balcony!

Wise decision. You definitely won’t want to go back!

We thoroughly enjoyed being in a grand suite on Harmony. On the smaller ships we enjoy the standard balcony rooms or a junior suite. But I agree with the others: we’ve been ruined, any future cruises on oasis class ships will be in grand suites or higher.

Just to warn you......once you have sailed in a suite (not a Jr. Suite) it will be hard to go back to anything else.  It elevates the whole experience.  Truly, it is not about the real estate.  Happy and safe travels.

so true. Wife would rather stay home if its not a suite. :classic_biggrin:

In response to the OP we travelled with a couple not in a suite and we would have been better downgrading to their category as we had to forgo alot of the suite perks -lounges,  disembarkation etc if we wanted to spend time with them

Thanks!  I should clarify I only have one child though. He’s will be 7. My sisters kids will be 7 and 9 and they are the ones with the 2 bedroom.

Not sure what shows will be on your sailing but my kids were not interested in any of the shows that were on The Anthem.  Plus they are long! I would not make that a consideration at all.

That's a great point.  I think if anything, the kids would be interested in the aquatheater show with the acrobatics.  And POSSIBLY the ice skating show.  We saw a "how to train your dragon" themed ice skating show years ago on the Allure, but this one seems much more adult oriented.  I cannot see any of our children sitting through any of the production shows in the theater.  One thing we missed last time, on our first cruise with kids.  That and not being able to spend much time in the casino...haha.  But we had a GREAT trip this past October with the kids and they LOVE cruising.  Especially in the suites we had.

But that's a GREAT point about the suite deck as well.

Keep in mind that the suite deck isn't by the pool, so if your child is with you, you'll probably want to be closer to the pool.

Your friends can sit anywhere in the theaters, so they can sit with YOU!

This.  Suites have reserved seating, but suite guests are forced to sit in that area only.
