Go Best Premium Drink Package Perk - gratuity included? Or added onto your bill?

I keep reading completely contradictory information and can't seem to get a current answer. If you buy (or get free) the "Go Best" perks, which include a Premium Beverage Package, do you have to pay extra for gratuities at the end of the cruise? Or is that included?

If you buy a package they will automatically add the 18% gratuity to the total package cost - regardless of Classic or Premium or Upgrade.

If you get it as a perk you are not charged additional gratuity (included).     If you get a classic package as a perk and choose to upgrade you will be charged the 18% on the upgrade amount only (e.g. $10.00 upgrade per day total cost $11.80 per day).

Different lines do it differently, maybe that’s why you feel confused. On Celebrity the gratuity  is included with the go best premium, or with any of the drinks packages for that matter, when received as a perk.  If you buy the package, 18% is tacked onto the price.  Either way, if you have a package, When you order a drink there is no further gratuity required.

If it’s part of go best nothing extra to pay.

On many sailing Celebrity includes perks with your booking.  Go Big = 1 perk, Go Better =2 perks, Go Best = 4 perks.  The perks are pre-pad gratuties, unlimited Wi-fi, $150pp OBC or Beverage package.  You chose which you want.  With Go Best it is the Premium Beverage.  With the other options the beverage package is the Classic package.

Being new to Celebrity, I keep on seeing GO BEST.  What is GO BEST?

Celebrity have some perks I can never remember just what they are, something like On Board Credit Drinks Package and maybe specialty dining, Reason I’m not sure is we always go OBC.

Go big gives you one of them, Go better two, go best all three.

There you go Jelayne nailed the perks, next cruise we were offered Go Big plus some OBC, took the extra OBC as out go Big, now trying to work out how we’ll get through all that OBC but Mrs Gut is pretty good at spending so 8m sure we will cope.

They only time you will see a gratuity charge added to your individual drink is if you order a drink that is priced above the package ceiling price.

With the Premium Beverage Package the ceiling price is $15. If you order a drink priced at $15 or less, there is no additional charge. But if you were to order an $18 glass of wine, you would be charged the $3 difference plus an additional 54 cents (18% of $3.)
