Ocean Blue with a Meat and potatoes Companion

I'll be traveling on the Norwegian Bliss in January and have Specialty dining as an add on. Has anyone had experience with Ocean Blue when your travel companion thinks all seafood is terrible? I love it but don't want to waste a dinner if we'll have to get Pizza in the buffet later to supplement the meat and potatoes guy. Thoughts?

I thought Ocean Blue requires an extra charge. Select something where the credit can be fully used and you both will like the meal. Why pay extra for something you companion doesn't want?

I dined at Ocean Blue last week as one of my Specialty Dining options and didn’t realise there was an extra charge of $12. Just saying. I did enjoy it though, but I love seafood. There was steak on the menu.

This isn’t just true on a ship.  But, even on land, if a couple has a liking (or disliking) for one type of food over another, compromises have to be made if you’re going to dine together.  Same on the ship.
