Some questions about Equinox and Celebrity

Have a few questions I’ve not been able to resolve or locate related feedback yet, and hope to get guidance from the pool of knowledge on this board. We will be on Equionox in the fall, and it’s been 25+ years since we’ve sailed with celebrity (past 5-6 cruises have all been RCCL).

1) at the end of the cruise, does celebrity offer the same “walk off” with your luggage option that RCCL HAS ?

2) does the equinox have some sort of food option 24x7 (or nearly so) other than room service ? (Like RCCL cafe promenade ?)

     — or is the equivalent of the windjammer open late evening ? (typical RCCL windjammer closes at 9pm)

3) does the equinox lifeboat deck offer ability for guests to walk a complete circle around the ship ?

4) we are huge fans of live music on a cruise  (individual and small groups), for those who share that passion, is the general consensus that celebrity is equal or better than RCCL in this specific area ?

5) does equinox have a piano bar with nightly live entertainment  (similar to RCCL “schooner” bar) ?

We fully realize there can be a WIDE range of opinions and preferences, please don’t view this as some sort of turf war.  It’s just a simple attempt to fill in gaps of information for a friendly and easy going cruise couple.

Thanks in advance, appreciate the help

Lifeboat deck does not go all the way around.  Also, there is a change of levels (up or down steps to continue), and the lifeboats block much of the view of the sea while walking.  IMO, this is the major downside to Equinox.  There is a shorter walking track at the top.

However, just about everything about Equinox is tops.  Our upcoming cruise will be our third time aboard her, by choice.

We are thinking about taking a Celebrity cruise. My husband's hold back is having to wear pants with a button up shirt every night to dinner. He usually wears golf shorts/shirt only each night.  We usually do one upscale dinner so he doesn't mind dressing up for one night.

1) Yes, Celebrity does offer a "walk off" with your luggage option.

2) Oceanview Cafe is open 24 hours for coffee, tea and juices only. Generally speaking, early risers breakfast service (cereal, coffee, teas) starts at 6:30 AM. Full breakfast service starts at 7:00 AM. The dinner buffet closes at 9:30 PM. For late night, the pizza and pasta stations are usually open until 1:00 AM.

Golf shorts are fine in the MDR at breakfast & lunch and the Oceanview buffet at dinner.   The MDR and speciality restaurants require long pants in the evening.  Golf shirt is fine .

No piano bar, but live music all over the ship late afternoon to late evening. The music is varied from classical to rock and everything in between. Musical acts rotate venues around the ship. Room service is no charge before, I believe, 11:30 PM to 6 AM.  Golf shirt and jeans are fine in the MDR and specialties for dinner. Chic night instead of formal means you can pretty much wear whatever you want on those nights, just no shorts in the dining venues.

Golf shirts are fine but he does need long pants for MDR & specialty restaurants.
