Hi

we are doing the Baltic cruise departing 23/6 from Southampton.  Can anyone let me know what time the main shows (I.e ice shows and main theatre) typically start at and what a sensible time to book dinner for allowing for the inevitable slowish service?

The shows will be timed to be convenient for the two tradtional dining times, so if you pick times near those, you should be OK.

Ice shows could be at various days and times through the cruise. There should be one you can get to regardless of when you book your dining times.

I don't know offhand, they vary by ship, itinerary, phase of the moon, etc.

 

I'd contact whoever booked your cruise with that question.

6:00 and 8:30 according to the times listed for that cruise on cruising power.

Service should be slow. 60 minutes for MTD and a leisurely 90 + for traditional.  If you want to eat and run go for MTD.

Give the Windjammer a try if you want to see a particular show.

The shows are scheduled and timed to allow 'traditional' (fixed time) diners to see the show AND have dinner with no rush.  Apart from embarkation day, there will usually be 2 shows per evening. Second seating diners will attend the first show ( while first seating diners are at table) and vice versa.

 

First night there is usually one "welcome aboard" show timed so that all can attend.

 

Ice shows are often late afternoon on sea days. Details will be in the Compass.

Service is not “slow”.  Over an hour for dinner is pretty standard. 

 

Ice shows are ticketed by muster station. Info will be in the CC. 

 

Last month show times were

day 1 7;45 only

day 2 9.00 & 10.30

Day 3 7:45 only Invitation to Dance

day 4 7.00 & 9.00

day 5 7.00 & 9.00 Hector is Magic 

day 6 7.45 only Fast Forward

Day 7 7:45 only 

 

As i’m Drinking my predinner g&t at 7: and as I eat around 8:30 these show timings did not work for me and the only show I saw was the 10:30 one 🤷‍♀️!!
