CruiserBruce Posted June 25, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 25, 2019 There are MANY threads on the West Coast Departures board (as Seattle is not in Alaska) discussing hotels. There is even several here, like this one, just down the board: Be aware downtown hotels during cruise season can be pretty expensive...generally it is cheaper by the airport. We have stayed several times at the Hilton downtown. Pretty close to most everything.
Rare kctwinmommy Posted June 25, 2019 #3 Share Posted June 25, 2019 Yes, like Bruce said, check the West Coast departure board...https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/315-west-coast-departures/ We stayed near Seattle Center, which is up by the Space Needle. We stayed at the Four Points Sheraton. It was a good price and we didn't need or want to be right downtown. It's easy to get down there using the monorail from the area by the Space Needle. Belle5129 Posted June 29, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 29, 2019 We just got back from a 6/21 sailing on Solstice. We have stayed twice at the Edgewater Hotel which is right on the water and really beautiful. But this time around, they were requiring a two-night minimum, so we looked elsewhere. Ended up with the Pan Pacific Seattle with a rate of $301.50 for a deluxe double Space Needle view. I was pretty happy with that rate as hotels were really expensive. The view was great. I liked that the hotel had a complimentary car service that would take guests within a 2 mile radius for free. The driver took us to the Space Needle, and then we walked back to the hotel - it was a very nice, short walk. And then the next day, we wanted to ride over to Pikes Market. Their driver must have been busy because she called an Uber for us and took care of the cost. That was a nice feature for us. Plus, there is a good pizza place and a Whole Foods right in the same complex.
disneyochem Posted June 30, 2019 #5 Share Posted June 30, 2019 As previously stated, prices are cheaper by the airport. We like to stay near the airport because of the lower cost and then use the metro line to go downtown. Takes a little bit longer than staying downtown but we save $$$. The metro line is clean (not like BART!), easy to use and safe. We attended a Mariners game one trip, used the train at about 11 p.m., and had no worries about safety. Northern Aurora Posted June 30, 2019 #6 Share Posted June 30, 2019 I hope that our OP realizes that there are two cruise terminals in Seattle. While they aren't that far apart a hotel like the Edgewater, which is right beside the Bell Street cruise terminal, is not walkable to the Smith Cove terminal. We did the Hilton Airport and it worked out great. Super nice restaurant with an excellent menu. DW finally got her 2nd Filet Mignon which they were sold out of on the ship last night at Chops Grill :{ The view out our window was danged good, but not as good as from our plane.
Cheryl H Posted July 1, 2019 #8 Share Posted July 1, 2019 We stayed at the Pan Pacific...and are booked there again. I considered being near the airport...but I was afraid that traffic would be bad the next morning for getting through downtown and to the port. Kevin's girl Posted July 3, 2019 #9 Share Posted July 3, 2019 We stayed at the Westin Seattle last year and were very happy with the hotel and location. I did a review with pics if you would like to see.

jsmjovi Posted July 3, 2019 #11 Share Posted July 3, 2019 We stayed at the Inn at El Gaucho, walking distance to our pier and walking distance to Pikes Place. Kind of expensive but it was downtown Seattle. Neat little hotel.
suekel Posted July 6, 2019 #12 Share Posted July 6, 2019 We're staying at the Kings Inn. Extremely basic but very reasonable and walking distance to a lot.

Hopefully you’ve researched the Kings Inn. suekel Posted July 6, 2019 #14 Share Posted July 6, 2019 Yeah. I'm bored at work today and switched to the Holiday Inn which appears to have shuttle from the airport and to the pier. Not all that much more. Thanks
Herfnerd Posted July 9, 2019 #15 Share Posted July 9, 2019 We stayed at The Moore on Victoria and 2nd Ave, less than two blocks from Pike Place Market and in the middle of downtown. Its an historic hotel with shared and private baths and no AC but windows open and it was perfectly fine for us in September. Best part was we paid less than $130/night - for downtown Seattle. We stayed post cruise and from Pier 91, it was a $12 cab ride
