Coke or Pepsi?

We'll be on the Insignia on the 11th July and I realized I hadn't seen any posts about whether the ship carries Coke or Pepsi.

I normally drink Caffeine Free Diet Coke. Am I likely to find it on the ship?

When it comes to soda, we are Diet Coke drinkers (with Caffeine), and Oceania has always had that.  While never looking for the Caffeine Free variety,  they carry a number of sodas that fall in the Coke family.  I'm sure someone else will chime in with a definitive answer.  Have a wonderful cruise, Insignia is a lovely ship.

Coke and Coke Zero are onboard for sure. Have your TA request the caffeine free or you can call yourself and ask for that accommodation. Usually, special requests require at least two weeks notice pre-cruise and Oceania will do its best to accommodate your wishes.

Coke is the 'normal' soda offered ship wide, but Pepsi in your cabin mini-frig is available on request.

Any special items you would like to like have in the cabin can be requested in advance by your TA or directly with Oceania. They are generally very accommodating.

We ask for Pepsi, Diet Coke and bottled water 'sin gas' in the mini-frig. Also 2 down pillows, 1 foam pillow and a plug-in night light in the bathroom.

LOL.  I'd have never thought to ask this but am glad OP did.  I grew up in Atlanta, the home of Coca Cola, and would never consider anything else.  'Course lately I've become spoiled by the occasional "Mexican Coke," made in Mexico with sugar rather than HFCS.  Huge difference.

We used to cruise with NCL as our 'big cruise line', but we had to change when they went Pepsi! So we switched to Celebrity. It helped that I quit smoking (four years and counting!) and prefer the smoke-free casino and other areas of the ship!

Thanks to ICT Lineman for the advice to request the CFD Coke. I emailed our cruise planner and she forwarded the request on our behalf. Having always sailed with the big box lines,, it never occurred to me to ask.

Good for you!  You should have heard the hissy fit I pitched when Costco switched.  But I do still go THERE 🙂

Switched cruise line over the lack of a soft drink? Pitched a "hissy-fit" at Costco over the lack of a soft drink?

Wow.

Apart from trolling, your point is?

So trolling it is then? Right!

Not that I need to explain anything to a troll, but anything that effects one's enjoyment is a consideration. Obviously it's not the ONLY reason to switch, but if there are two otherwise identical cruise lines (or very similar), then the one that carries your choice of beverage will win out. There are other factors involved in any decision.

Now crawl back under your rock and find another thread to troll!

ETA: I'm glad you're not on the same cruises as me. There's enough inconsiderate clowns without you adding another one.

Get your favorite soft drink and crawl to your safe space.

What does it matter to you what others choose or why they do so, especially if it doesn't interfere with the choices remaining for you?

I'm surprised you can find a cave with padded walls and where you have to use crayons! Go away and troll others, you idiot, and tell your handler to take away your Etch-A-Sketch.

My point is that getting upset about the lack of a certain brand of soft drink is laughable.

Bet you're not from Atlanta.  Them's fightin' words.  LOL. I still go to Costco and don't get Pepsi.  But if a fast food place - drive thru when we're on the road - doesn't have Coke we don't stop.

We lived in Atlanta for over three years and loved every minute of it. I can understand your frustration about not having Coke at Costco. We don't stop at a fast food place that doesn't have Coke either.

Honestly, except for FF we almost never have 'sodas.'  I keep meaning to keep (just) one Mexican Coke on hand.

Try the iced tea onboard; it is terrific.  I never even crack open the Coke in my cabin fridge.

No.  No Caffeine Diet Coke.   Diet Coke yes.  I have requested Stewart to load up  my refrigerator with Diet Cherry Coke.  And Diet Ginger Ale.👍

Oceania does carry caffeine free Diet Coke.  Just returned from 3 weeks on Riviera and had caffeine free every day.  They have it in the restaurants, buffet and in all cabins.

Hmmmm.  We need a third vote to break the tie.

Here's a tip for you. When you order in a public area ask for the can. With multiple options, Coke, Diet Coke, Caffeine Free Coke, CF Diet Coke, Coke Zero, CF Coke Zero, etc. it easy for the servers to not always know the difference or notice that you may or may not be getting what you ordered. I only want Coke Zero with caffeine. To confuse the issue even further Diet Coke is known as Coke Light in most of the world.

It's also good to check what is stocked in your frig as my wife only wants Diet Coke or Coke Light and many time they've put the CF version in there and we have to get it changed.
