Vista sateroom doors are magnetic, yes?

I'm finishing up packing now and I bought a cute sign from the Dollar Tree for our door. They're magnetic so I can take a magnetic hook, right? Because tape won't hold this (I don't think).

Well, to be honest, I think the doors are metal to which a magnetic device would stick.  🤣😉

It depends on how strong your magnet is.  We carry some fridge magnets just to identify our door, and they won't stick to the doors, although they do fine on the interior walls.  This has been true with Fantasy, Conquest and Dream class....We have not sailed Vista class.  EM

Yes, they are magnetic. There is a coating on them that is part of the décor and it does seem to affect the magnets some. We had a banner hung up with magnetic hooks and it worked fine but did slide around some over time. A small or cheap magnet may not hold. I think you should plan to bring a separate hook to be safe.

I am not sure if my wife tried the door but we were able to get our sign to the right of the door.

Just a FYI you can’t hang anything on the doors with tape (carnival policy). It has to be command hook brand. The doors on the outside don’t do so well with magnets either but inside they are great.

We have used the command hooks on the Vista doors and they work great!

 

magnets didn't hold too well (slid a bit) so we stuck with the command hooks.

I can’t imagine how scary that could be for people with metallic implants or metal shavings embedded in their tissue.
