Rare Roz Posted July 21, 2019 #2 Share Posted July 21, 2019 Uniworld waives or offers reduced single supplements on some sailings. Check here: https://www.uniworld.com/en/current-offers/2019-solo-traveler/ Roz
Rare gnome12 Posted July 21, 2019 #3 Share Posted July 21, 2019 Ama waives a certain number of lower end cabins on each sailing, as does Avalon I believe.
bones774 Posted July 21, 2019 Author #4 Share Posted July 21, 2019 I seem to have a difficult time of navigating their sites, it's always like one more step and in the end it's "call for pricing". but thanks everyone. wondering if someone already had a deal to share here. Rare Roz Posted July 21, 2019 #6 Share Posted July 21, 2019 Still better than 100%. 😊 If you can find a travel agent who does a lot of business with the cruise line you're interested in, they may have some pull. Roz
Rare Lois R Posted July 21, 2019 #7 Share Posted July 21, 2019 Uniworld has a link on every sailing for you to change the occupancy...….from double to single and the prices come up. And some of them have the Supplement totally waived.....depends on the specific cruise. And AMA also has low/no supplements on a selection of a cabins. If you can't find the price? I would just call the toll free number and call them directly.
Rare Coral Posted July 21, 2019 #8 Share Posted July 21, 2019 I think it is good to get a TA who routinely keeps up on these things.

MagnoliaNC Posted July 22, 2019 #11 Share Posted July 22, 2019 I received this email today regarding Emerald: Now available on select 2020 departures, we have reduced the single supplement to $0, which means you’ll enjoy a suite designed for two, all to yourself. This is a great option for both solo travelers, and guests who are traveling with friends, but would prefer their own suite. This offer applies to E, D and C cabin categories. I took a Danube Cruise on Avalon a year ago as a solo. They waived the supplement. It was awesome...I booked a Panoramic Suite. I highly recommend Avalon!
