Mimosa and breakfast in my balcony. I brought a tray I bought at a garage sale many years ago since they don't have trays at the buffet, and I went to the ocean plaza buffet on level 5 because it's less crowded.

Edited to add, the banana bread is awesome!!!

Just had an amazing hour or so conversation in the casino bar with a man named Calvin. We shared our life stories and could have gone on talking for hours, but his family came to take him away to brunch. I love the people you meet on cruises, and when your itinerary is flexible, it is that much more rewarding.

I'm up $500 from the casino last night,by the way. My turn in the slot tournament is in a half hour.

@bnbeyer loving your review, thank you for taking the time!

If you think of it, can you post what the captain decides to do with the time change in Cozumel?  Cozumel doesn’t do daylight savings, so ship time would now be 1hr off from Cozumel time.

We are on the 11/23 sailing and scheduling a private excursion ... trying to decide what time to schedule it. Thanks and safe travels!

Carnival ships always stay on ship time when going to Cozumel.

Is there any charge for breakfast room service on Carnival ships ?

Just asking as I do not recall an additional fee on Princess ships and they are part of Carnival Corp as is Carnival. Although we do tip the delivery person a few dollars for the service.

My DH enjoy getting hot coffee and breakfast items delivered to our cabin so we can enjoy breakfast on the balcony. It is a pleasant way to begin the day.

I'll pay attention and let you know. I'm pretty sure we are staying on Central time for the whole cruise, but if that changes, I'll mention it.

Most of it is free, but the breakfast sandwiches are $3.  Here is the door hanger menu.

I had so much fun yesterday even though I didn't do that much but laugh and talk with other people!

I made it to the top 200 for the tournament. I was 138 out of 625. Today I play at 11am to see if I make the next cut.

I also had lobster in the main dining room and the mushroom bisque and ceasar salad for my appetizers. All were fabulous. I wish I could have that dinner all week. I apologize to Sid's tribe for not having food pics. It felt weird to take good pics with the people I went to dinner with.

I won another $100 playing blackjack, so I'm up a total of $600 so far.

I also made it to a late night comedy show with 2 fifteen minutes acts and laughed my head off.

Loving vacation!

Some pics of the casino funnel and the comedian.

I got a vanilla latte and a small breakfast at the ocean plaza buffet. I took orange juice back to my room so I can have a Mimosa.  The eggs are okay, but I really like the bacon and hash browns.  If you like your bacon crispy, this buffet isn't the place to get it.

I hung out with a couple of guys at the casino and had dinner with them. One of them played slots most of the time. The other guy and I had great conversations but then he started getting very flirty and touching my arm and knee a lot. I had to make it very clear to him that I am not interested in that and am very happily married. I wonder if I'll see them again today in the casino.

I watched you sail out of Galveston on the WebCam

We are on 11/16 - Love your information, your photos.

You are the first one I have heard about the Sky Ride.  That' super cool you were able to do that.

We have heard about OP for coffee/breakfast - luckily only down one flight of stairs and not much further for us!

Are the stupid, I mean smart elevators driving you nuts?  LOL

Knock em dead!  you're doing great!

Looking forward to reading along as you cruise.  We sailed on the Vista last year and loved it.  We were in a Havana cabana and loved walking right out to the Ocean Plaza in the morning and grabbing a quick bite although I don't care for precooked scrambled eggs....I am a little high maintenance and go to the omelette station when I want eggs.  Enjoy your mimosas....I always bring champagne on board to make my own also!
