NYC Parking with 2 Ship departures

Hi All:

 

Any recommendations for NYC parking at the Pier for Dec 13th?  Noticed that both the Bliss & Gem are scheduled to depart on the same day!  What is the likelihood the Pier lot will be full?

They should have parking available at both Pier 88 and 90. The Gem will undoubtedly be docked at 90, the Bliss at 88. You should be able to park, provided you're not a last minute arrival .

Isn’t there usually two ships sailing out if NCL weekly? Even if not the same day, there has been enough parking for all of the guests.

Actually, on our November 3rd Escape cruise from NYC, we heard a woman comment that the parking was full by the time they got to the pier (I don't know the time they arrived).  I would think if you are arriving in the morning you should be fine, but I'm guessing. We arrived before 10am.  Perhaps others can report how late they arrived and still got pier parking with multiple ships departing.

How many spots do they have at the pier, I've only parked there once 10 years ago and don't remember. 500 per pier?

Both ships departing on the same day is actually a good thing. It means that everyone who parked at the terminal for the previous cruise on each ship will be arriving back on the day you depart, and will then disembark the ships, get into their cars, and leave the parking lots.....this should create all the space that arriving passengers will need, as long as you don't leave your arrival at the pier too late.

Show up early (10:00ish allowing arriving passengers to leave). Porters are available starting around 9:00.  Be prepared to part with lots of $$$. There are a other lots near the terminal, but we much prefer parking our own car and having it right a the terminal when we return for a few extra $$.
