Allure coming to Galveston...

Recommended Posts

We're pretty excited to see that the Allure in coming to Galveston next year.  We've been on the Allure a few years back out of Florida & on the Harmony out of Barcelona, so we're familiar with Gigantic ship experience.

So looking at Nov 2021 sailings, the Allure's 4 nights out of Galveston starts at $590 pp (using interior for comparison) & $720 for 7 nights.

Whereas, Carnival's 4 nights are $339, 5 nights $309, 6 nights $439, 7 nights are $519.

We understand that all the Carnival ships are much smaller the the Allure's 225K tons in size, & a total different experience, but just wondering if once the new ship coming to Galveston novelty is over by 2022, Allure will lower to more competitive pricing, or it'll always remains higher because it's the Allure...?

Thanks,

Royal tends to be more expensive than Carnival.  That's a general trends that often holds true.  For years Oasis class has been more than Conquest or Dream class ships on similar itineraries in Florida.

I doubt you'll ever see Allure offering Carnival type rates in Galveston.

We're booked on the Allure out of Galveston (7 day) in April 2022 in a GS. The price was higher than Liberty for a GS in April 2020 and April 2021 and commensurate with the price we paid for a GS on Allure when she was homeporting in Florida. I don't think you're going to find any "Carnival" prices or lower fares on the Allure.

Thanks for the great input.

Being from Houston, we didn't know that Allure were usually more expensive than others while in Florida.

With over 20+ cruises out of Galveston, guess the port destinations doesn't matter anymore, & maybe worth the extra costs as the ship is the feature destination itself...

I just looked and a Loft was quite a bit cheaper than what we pay on Oasis
