The Sky1 suites on the aft have larger verandahs than the both the Sky1's and Sky2's on Port or Starboard. I do believe the other S1's do have slightly larger verandahs than the Sky2's. Not sure about the poles.

It is my understanding the cabins will be identical to those on Edge, so people may know about poles.

The only S1s with a bigger balcony are the corner aft cabins. The rest are the same size as the S2s, the S1s are in more desirable locations. 
 

Are you asking about the small pole on the balcony?
