Donyb Posted February 10, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2020 We will be on the Equinox in a couple of weeks. We are currently being offered a first night dining discount in Murano on our cruise planner. It must be pre-paid. My question is this for anyone who has been on the Equinox in the last month or so. Was there a discount offered once onboard for Murano?
Rare Jim_Iain Posted February 11, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 11, 2020 They almost always offer it on board for the first night. It is good to know prices and check to see if you also have discounts available that might be better with your CC status. While many have said they could not stack the discounts I have had success on board after being offered a discount asking if the CC discount would also be honored. helen haywood Posted February 11, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 11, 2020 If you like prime rib, it is on the MDR menu on the first night.
jelayne Posted February 11, 2020 #4 Share Posted February 11, 2020 The first night price in the Cruise Planner is a 30% discount. This first night discount in the CP seems to be pretty popular, especially for Murano. Our past 2 cruises there were no discounts for Murano on the first night on the ship. We did have a offer for 25% off Tuscan for 9 pm reservation, a bit too late for us.

On a previous cruise, the discount was 20%. Must be related to supply and demand. But if you have a dining time in mind, book it as soon as possible. Sometimes they'll offer another discount towards the end of the cruise if the restaurants are not booked. PelicanLvr Posted February 11, 2020 #9 Share Posted February 11, 2020 If you want a peak dining time, book now and pre-pay. You will have the reservation at the current discount. If there is a better 1st night deal when you board....politely ask the maitre'd if they can do anything to give you the better deal. They want to make you happy. But, if you wait until you board to make a reservation, you might possibly get a slightly better deal ...but if they don't have a time you want....what good is that? Fivelinks Posted February 11, 2020 #10 Share Posted February 11, 2020 We pre-booked Murano and loved it on Equinox... best food on the ship! Did not see any more discounts after that for dinner but, we were offered a discount while in Murano by our server for a special luncheon later in the cruise without asking. Doesn't hurt to ask though.
