HAL current website issues

I am  investigating future cruises if I  decide to cancel our April 28 sailing (which is likely at this point).  Unfortunately HAL website is not enabling me to check available cabins.  I  just get a spinning circle.  Unless this is just an issue with my computer they need to fix this problem if they expect people to roll over their cruise credits in the coming days.  My friends have unfortunately chosen to cancel and I will probably be doing likewise on Monday with my TA.  We were all looking forward to a reunion of sorts and are massively disappointed as I am sure a lot of people are.

The website is very flaky on a good day. Also it is set to only show a few open cabins even if there are more.

It is "flakier" lately. I was told to clear cookies and/or use a different browser, but these are just distractions for the dumpster fire that is their website! I just kept putting in "Select my own" cabin and once in 5-6 times it would let me in.

The even-more-frustrating problem is the filters for even looking at possible cruises not working -- page after page of possible cruise, not sorted by any variables.

Been having the same issues for at least 5 days now, forever getting the dreaded blue circle of death, tried phone, IPADS, computers, different browsers even cleared cache and cookies and nothing working.  Even went to neighbours to use their computer and same issue.  For us this issue has been ongoing since they started the new promotion.....   HAL definitely needs to fix this issue if they want us to book other cruises.........   When we tried other shiplines we had no problems.....   This is annoying.

I've had the same issues for a number of days now; it didn't matter what browser, how many times I cleared the cache, etc., it always hung up with the dreaded "Blue Circle of Death".  I've sent an email to the address given me on FB, so will see if I get a response.  Fingers crossed.

Smooth Sailing!  🙂🙂🙂

The Celebrity website is no better, fact maybe even worst, cannot get past selecting a cruise and date, but nothing after that.   Just get a black screen.   So not just a Hal problem.

The HAL website (and frankly, many other cruise lines as well) can be wonky on a good day and with the extra traffic spurred by the COVID-19 concerns, it can be pretty bad now. If you are just searching itineraries and cabin availability, you might try going to one of the large online cruise agencies (sorry, can't name names here). They typically have better search engines and you can start a booking and look at available cabins on many without having to give personal information. They are going off the same databases the cruise lines use, so data is as current as you can get through the cruise lines. (And you can see most cruise lines, not just HAL). Who knows, you just might even find a better deal!

There is a lot of extra traffic on both the web site and on the telephone lines due to the COVID-19.  My ta told me it took her 4 hours to get through to the right person at HAL headquarters on an issue with another client.

I can't look up private fares via another web site.  I have to go directly through HAL for those.

Keep trying different sites. My TAs site shows my private fares as well as my super low casino offers when I input my Mariner number. Even HAL's site doesn't show those. I tried a popular big box site and it gave me nothing but full fare pricing for a cruise I recently booked through my TA's site on a super cheap casino rate.

I have been having trouble looking up available cabins on the HAL site myself for over 2 weeks but earlier today, viola, success.  Weird too because so many more available cabins were available on the sailing I was checking and on the deck I was looking for than the last time I was able to get that far in the search.  It was for a cruise sailing before May 31st so it's possible that many have cancelled.

I used to be able to see a cheaper casino rate when I logged into my account when searching for cruises but looking at cruises for 2022 I get the same price whether I am logged in or not.  Does anyone know if they have discontinued the casino rates?  I know when booking a Princess cruise you have to actually call in and request the rate because it doesn't show up on-line.
