I see I have something similar to your offer. The best seems to be $200 pp deposit plus tax and port ($679 total) $400 back for OBC. $1000 casino cash. $10 pp for 3rd and 4th passengers. Free drinks anywhere on the ship. Any room but a suite. I think I might book it for 7/25.

I also got the same offer and honestly if I had the money this would be awesome.

However.. I don't have the money. and the world is in turmoil right now.

I wish I could tell Carnival that I'd love to cruise with them again but I can't put down any more money at the moment.

I looked into the offer and realized that this is their way to get money into their bank account to confirm that people want to cruise.... when this is all over.

I have over $5000 sitting with Air Canada/Air Canada vacations because of cancelled March Break trips. I'm not that rich!!!

In my special offers, casino offer....Not sure I want to cruise so soon, would Covid-19 still be an issue is the question. But this is so tempting....The cruise fare is $613 total for this cruise in August, 5 nights on the Sunshine.

  • Exclusive Casino offer - Plan Now Play Later
  • $200 per room to spend on board
  • Free Drinks on Us! while playing in the casino. Terms apply.
  • 3rd & 4th guests sail for $10 per person for sailings departing between 5/22/20- 9/30/20
  • Reserve your cruise with a non-refundable deposit of $99 per person
  • Offer ends April 3, 2020

Any other time, maybe. But they will throw out offers left and right to get any amount of money coming in right now, even non-refundable deposits. Ten dollar for third and fourth guests is attractive but even they know that they won’t be sailing under those terms most likely ...... 4 People equals $400 NRD.

But I also was thinking that if I booked and they don't sail, what a great deal it would be for a future cruise as they would have to offer some compensation for the cruise if they cancel. I cruise all the time anyway so it would not be like I wouldn't use it. So I did a 48hr hold to discuss it with my husband. The non refundable deposit is not an issue for me.

Thy are giving cruises away from players club. Got basically free offers after obc and free play. I am waiting for them to pay me to get on board.

Add shareholder onboard credit and it might push you into that category.

PS: your mileage may vary. Shareholder is technically not combinable with offers from the casino but isn’t always necessarily denied. All of my cruises at a casino rate on a Princess had the shareholder benefit approved as did my recent Carnival cruise reserved at a casino rate.

No, they don’t “have” to provide compensation. To make you whole, you’re only owed a refund for all monies paid. There is no guarantee of a goodwill gesture especially as the industry standards forecast additional cancellations.

I also have gotten many offers, some free cabins and drinks on us etc.  I just got another one right now.  I barely ever look at them now,  Even before this horrendous pandemic, I did not really pay much attention to them because I must stay home these days to look after two elderly parents, one who is very ill.   Even if I could travel, I would be leery to book something and then have to cancel it later, or wait for them to cancel.  It would be just too tricky for me to plan, since there would be air travel involved for me as well.  All is moot for me anyway.  Cant leave home anytime in the foreseeable future.  I am not surprised though to see these offers, since they are trying to keep up their bookings.  It is a terrible time for the whole travel industry, not to mention businesses in general.

I got a great offer $200 total for two, 9 nights journey cruise and $400 OBC out of NYC up until sometime this Sept. Was so tempted to do this but have a British Isles cruise book for Aug 2021 and don't want to spend anymore money then I have too

Of course they don't, but I have never known them not to, when they are the ones canceling.

You never know, we canceled our June southern cruise which was a freebie, pay for just the fees/taxes, to cruise 3 weeks B2B, April 2021 for a similar offer!

2 of the cruises are southern which we like, figure things will be cleared up by then! Hopefully!

Off topic, but I think we sailed together before on the Carnival Destiny. Was your Oct 2010 cruise on the Destiny to Key West and Cozumel 10/28?

We've just pulled the trigger & booked 5 nights on the Dream out of Galveston for May 16.

$473 for 2 in an interior cabin, all taxes/fees included.

Risky?  Yes

Cheap?  Yes

If we go, great!

If we don't, no biggie, $ will be FCC...

I also have another cruise booked, the Mardi Gras Feb 2021 (maybe if ship not delayed again) but thought this little cheap 5 day would be doable.

I just booked a casino rate for Nov 12 cruise. $495.98 for both DH and myself. $500 OBC. and free drinks in casino, while playing. I don't have to add up points til free drinks, but get them right on day one.  Pretty sweet deal.  Sure hope we're all back to cruising by Nov
