You must be confident that you'll get your refund from SB.

I have to make that decision on an Oceania cruise.

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean?  Was the $380 for excursions?

I got my refund for excursions 16th March.

I was trying to keep it simple.  I am not sure if the refund of taxes or airfare or excursions follow a different process than the refunding of cruise fares.  But - for those interested - I will include tracking them, but separately.

“Thrown” off Encore March 16 in Adelaide.  Promised Cash refund plus 50% FCC for 6 missed days in penthouse or 175% FCC alone option.  Requested cash offer around March 25.  Yesterday, my travel agent was finally able to get through to someone who provided information about amount of refund due.  That information was not available a week ago. Representative did not know when money would be returned to my credit card (not there yet).

May 6:  Seabourn cancelled  our 7/31 Alaska on Sojourn  - requested cash refund not FCC. Advised it would take 60-90 Days to receive refund.

May 6 - cancelled about $3000 worth of pre-booked Alaska excursions.  Advised it would take 60-90 Days to receive refund.

May 6:  Seabourn cancelled  our 10/24 Greece and Turkey on Ovation - requested cash refund not FCC.  Advised  it would take 60-90 Days to receive refund.

Thank you so much for keeping track of our tails of woe.

I also requested cash refund for 8/14-28 Alaska cruise - but I did not realize I was supposed to cancel pre-paid shore excursions separately (also approx $3000).  I was under the impression the Flightease costs and excursions would be included in the refund.   How do I cancel the shore excursions separately?  I can't see how to do that online.  Thanks!

Insurance would not have covered if Seabourn did not refund us.  Besides, I am very confident Seabourn will eventually issue the refunds.

It has been two days since I started this thread. This thread has been viewed over 950 times.  But only about 20 different people have posted. so there are quite a few "lurkers" out there!

I know there are many more people in the position we are in.  It is possible some of you have already gotten a refund from Seabourn.  Please share your information so we can have a sense of how long things are taking.

Thank you

Note: I also have been waiting since 3/25 for a refund of approximately $10000 for missed days on board the Encore because of premature debarkation of the entire ship because of Covid 19.

I don't understand - isn't that exactly what insurance is for to cover you if the cruise line doesn't?

Who needs to pay extra for insurance if the cruise line covers you.

I cancelled two excursions on 4/3/20.  Email confirmation told me 60 days to get back my $380 for the two excursions. Lucky you.

I am one of the lurkers.  We cancelled two cruises that were to sail later this year  We cancelled them on our own, before Seabourn cancelled them.  Now the first has been officially cancelled by Seabourn. The December cruise is still currently slated to sail, but we are not comfortable sailing again until we see how things develop.  We cancelled Our September 16th cruise to Europe on the Encore on March 27th and our December 22nd cruise to the Caribbean on the Sojourn on April 13, so much more recently that most others.  Of course, we have not received our deposits back yet.
