RFerrington Posted July 28, 2020 #26 Share Posted July 28, 2020 I expect going into Star Class when the original booking was not SC would be very tricky.

It was strictly the cabin, category the OP booked. You book a Royal Suite or Owners Suite to Lift and Shift you should get the same or better, not go backwards with your switch. If you can't find one on that sailing you should be able to move to another ship and sailing that has one, no matter the date. Royal Caribbean made this offer, its not something we all made up. L& S We wanted to do the ABC islands and Odyssey had a 8 night that did this in the timeframe in 2021 we could cruise. Empress also had a 8 night Southern Caribbean in 2020 in that same timeframe. Empress doesn’t have GS, our normal cabin type. Only JS, OS and RS. A JS wouldn’t work for us, there were no OS available so we took the RS at half the price of a normal GS on an Oasis Class. There were no OS available on Odyssey and we were very happy to L&S to a GS for the cruise we wanted at half the price. That has not been published. You only find out individual ones when you call to do a shift. I suspect that they have never released it so they can change their mind on what they will allow at any point in time. 3

L& S I "liked" your post because I liked your pictures/video. Thanks for posting. (Not booked on or booking either ship).
