cabin 6414 family villa on Liberty

Recommended Posts

We have booked this cabin for a 7 day cruise on Liberty. Anyone ever stayed in that suite? Are there extra perks? Any pro's and con's on this room? Just looking to hear any info people have, just something to look forward to. Pictures would be great also. One question about the balcony, in the one picture I saw, it looks like the balcony does not overlook the water, something between the balcony and the water, but not sure what it is???

Thanks!

It just a flat unused, inaccessible deck area.  You can see the water you just cannot look down at it.

I've stayed in the 4-bedroom villa on the Freedom twice with extended family (10 of us in total). Some things I wish I knew then:

1. One perk of the room is that the suite concierge will escort you onto the ship, but you probably have to ask (it wasn't offered to us). If your group will be arriving at the embarkation pier early i.e. prior to staterooms being open; I suggest being escorted onto the ship because the suite concierge will bring you right to your room and you can drop off all your hand luggage, get changed, whatever - prior to the staterooms generally opening at 1 pm.

2. We were not happy with our MDR table arrangements but the head waiter said that it was the best he could do (split up into 2 tables, one of which was squashed into a corner). I should have asked the suite concierge to see if he could do anything about it.

3. Ask the room steward to leave all documentation in both master bedrooms (or whatever bedrooms will contain adults). I was in the smaller master bedroom and I felt out of the loop for the whole cruise since the documentation (e.g. galley tour invitation) was left in only in the larger master bedroom and that couple just ignored all the paperwork! LOL. I didn't realize until the end of the cruise that we had missed out on a bunch of activities.

Don't forget that the suite concierge can do everything that Guest Services can do for you e.g. reprint SeaPass cards, fix erroneous charges on your bill, etc. It's nice because you don't have to wait in the Guest Services lineup.

Room service is free for suite guests so be sure to take advantage of it if that's your thing. We ordered breakfasts and afternoon snacks a lot. Don't forget to tip the person who delivers it.

Also do a search on these Cruise Critic boards for Presidential Suite, since that's what the cabin was formerly known as.

Have fun! It's an awesome suite for a big group!
