We stayed just outside Arezzo for a week, in a villa at Santa Firmina. The day after we arrived there was a jousting tournament in Arezzo. We walked into town, saw the parades, actually got tickets for the jousting but it was too hot and crowded so we went back to the villa and watched it on TV. 

Lovely, it is such a nice part of the world.

Close enough, the pillars you are referring to are called the Friars, but this one is just along the coast between them and Adventure Bay. We had a wonderful time exploring Bruny Island, wine, cheese, adventure on the speed boat into the Southern Ocean, the wildlife down the coast was great as well, seals, sealions, whales and dolphins.

Have been to Bruny a few times... they do a very nice pinot as well as cheese, smoked salmon and oysters

 

Did a tour of the lighthouse as well.... lighthouse keeper grew up on Tasman Island... great stories

Great place and does have a lovely beaches.. have spent a five days at stokes bay... we had the whole beach to ourselves.......   but too far west..
