Looking for Viking Serenade Ship magnet

Recommended Posts

Hi cruisers, I have purchased a magnet of the ship on every ship I’ve cruised on as an adult.  But my very first cruise was when I was 16 and I’d love to find one of that one to complete my collection (well, you know... until I add more cruises).  That ship was Royal Caribbean’s (former) Viking Serenade.  Do any of you know where I might find one?  I’ve already searched EBay.

If you can't find one, you can always buy a Viking Serenade casino chip (currently selling on Ebay) and put a magnet peel off backing sold at office supply stores and make your own magnet.

Yeah I figured this would be my last resort.

I checked with my husband, since he is a very organized hoarder, and has untold pieces of trivia from 46 years of cruising.  But, he says he has nothing from the Viking Serenade.

That's not bad at all.  The hoarder horror stories on TV are... less organized...    :)

Getting there myself, have saved everything from every Cruise over last 3+ Decades. All organized in 2 large tubs...

My husband is a fan of apple boxes (uniform size, stack very well) and clear plastic shoe boxes.  I tease him that at least when he hoards he can at least SEE his stuff!!!  I mean, how many ship card lanyards does a man need????  I mean man, because I have many, too, but they are color coordinated with my clothes.  His are all black, and he doesn't lose them, either.

He and his Mom both are organized hoarders.  No clutter,  but super organized and labeled boxes.  His Mom was ocd, too, so she made detailed lists on the outside of the boxes of the contents, and then made a list of the lists!!

I once told my husband that a sign of ADD / hoarding was buying books and never reading them.  He said, "Yes, but I build a bookcase for my hoarded books!"  😁

Yeah I get that, kinda know what they'd want and who. The Boy, he wants nothing.

I suggest donating it to a museum.

Our only claim to history is my great-great-grandfather's name on Independence Rock going across the prairie in the 1840's. Meager.
