from the article posted by  Ondine - Pacific Aria farewell....

Pacific Aria’s identical sister ship, the year older Pacific Eden, went under the hammer late last week as Vasco da Gama and was acquired by Portuguese cruise company Mystic Invest for a reported €9.5m ($11.1m).

Cheap as chips, we could have had a whip round and bought it as our CC private cruise ship.

Just read this snippet on Wikipedia re the ex Pacific Pearl.  Sold .For only 5 million

We could have passed around the hat ....🤪

Pacific Pearl. She served in the P&O Cruises Australia fleet up until 2017 when she was sold to Cruise & Maritime Voyages and renamed MV Columbus. CMV entered administration in 2020. Ship was auctioned by CW Kellock & Co. in London on 12 October 2020, for US$ 5,321,000.00 millions to an undisclosed Turkey Owner, who resold to Seajets.[4][5][6]

Cruising doesn't look like good business in current climate, at those prices.  Reminds me of the Gold Coast, so many people want to retire here, with a small business, a business no sooner closes down than someone takes their place.

Following that link through, it shows Seajets has bought 6 cruise ships this year.
