according to vesselfinder, Joy arrived in San Juan yesterday.

There is definitely some crew onboard as I saw a youtube video of a crew member who was quarantining in his cabin.

I'm sailing Joy 1/15/22 so this is all very exciting.

I'm paying close attention to Nov. 20 as that's supposed to be the first sailing for Joy out of Miami.

Crew and ship had a full immigration review per friend onboard.

First group finished quarantine today.

Bliss is back in LA.

The Pearl left Bar today on her way to Marseille. The first sailing with passengers is January 3 from Miami. How soon before sailings do they crew up?

According to my latest information, The Pearl's first cruise out of Miami is 23 December, 2021 (information updated this morning).  She has begun to crew up.

So far, they crewing up about 60 days prior to the first sailing.

Thanks for the information everyone - very interesting (and exciting!).

Any word on the progression of Escape when it comes to crewing up and preparing for relaunch? I'm on the November 27th sailing out of Port Canaveral, which I believe begins her third customer paying sailing (besides the TA, which I don't think will have paying customers on).

TIA!

The last time I heard from a crew member (a few days ago), they were in count down mode-- a little over 30 days until their first sailing.  I think that the first sailing is scheduled for mid November.

Does anyone know anybody on the Star? I am on one of the sailings out of Buenos Aires in January. So many cruise lines have cancelled their 2021/2022 season out of BA... We are looking for any signs of life that they sailing will actually happen. I was encouraged to see it moved from Naples to Bar, but I am still not booking anything nonrefundable yet.

Bar is where they are doing crewing.

I saw something this morning that said The Star was to begin sailing in mid January.

Thanks for the info and please keep it coming.

Is the full crew on board Joy already or is it a partial crew?

I know the first official sailing is scheduled for 11/20 but will there be a practice sailing?

Thanks in advance

Not sure if they'll do a practice run.

Friends boarded end of September in Aruba, but another charter was scheduled to arrive on the 8th before they left for SJ.

Unfortunately,  crew wifi is often....rhymes with snappy and signal is hit or miss unless they're on deck.

Some casino crew boarded in Bar before the Escape moved to  Civitavecchia.

Just been doing drills and getting ready for the first sailing.

Seems no set schedules for recrewing.

Some have literally had only a couple days notice before flying to meet their ship,  others close to 2 months onboard before first pax cruise.

The Dawn left Brindisi on October 13 and has been sailing in some type of holding pattern in the Adriatic off the Coast of Montenegro ever since.

Just checked a ship tracking site and it says She will return to Brindisi on the 17th.  Probably taking on fresh water.

Chatted with Crew friend earlier.

She said 11/14 is tentative sail date to Miami.

Lots of drillsband trainings onboard.

The Escape has been at Civitavecchia for several days.  Her first scheduled cruise is in 18 days out of Port Canaveral.  How long should it take to get there?

Side note: Until this morning the information on its position indicated that it was en route to Civitavecchia, where it already was.  This morning it changed to being en route to Bar, with an ETA of 5 days ago.  The webcam shows it is still at Civitavecchia.  Is this just a typo or computer issue or is there meaning to it?

The Encore left Seattle, Washington about 6:30 P.M. last night (Oct 25th) sailing with crew only to Miami and Her Winter Season.

They overnighted in Seattle until the winds and currents died down.

It was a pretty rough ride back to Seattle.

They're headed to the Panama Canal. Then on to Miami.

21 days per crew onboard.

The Encore spent Saturday night, all day Sunday, Sunday night and all day Monday docked in Seattle.  Very bad storm hit Seattle Saturday night into Sunday morning.  The first of a series of storms to hit Seattle.

Yes, they were lucky it wasn't worse.

But. All good and sailing on to warm weather.
