do we know if the Pearl entered drydock yet? I noticed the deck plan was updated with the Starbucks retail location in the Atrium.

edit: I see the dry dock was in Curacao.  nevermind 🙂

As of a few minutes ago, The Pearl is in Marseille, France (not Curacao) in dry dock.  She and The Jewel have been in dry dock now for awhile.  Not sure of the exactly what is being done with either ship.  The Spirit is also Marseille but acting as a floating hotel for all of the contractors.

for the Pearl:

The Starbucks is being installed, and I was told they're supposed to be making the same changes to Bar City seating that they did with the Gem (removing the seating that causes a chokepoint at Magnums)

and they might be removing the bowling….

Wow! Time to bump this from page 5 to front ... with exciting titbits ....

Pearl and Getaway are now crossing the pond, heading to Miami, ETA 21 Dec.

Sky is in San Juan - finally vacated Aruba some weeks ago.

Finally ... this should be the most exciting titbit so far for a while .... Spirit is heading to Port Said aka the Suez Canal! ETA 16 Dec.

Yes, very interesting and exciting!  Spirit is currently scheduled to restart from Sydney (to Bali) on March 27.  We've been booked on that cruise (and the following three cruises b2b) for a long time and still think it's unlikely Australia will be open to cruise ships (or tourists) by then.  But this gives us a bit of hope!

This thread getting 45k views and probably reaching a 1.5yr anniversary next year makes me a bit sad. But.. all of you contributing to this thread with some very familiar users active here, reporting movements, tracking ships is one of the most positive threads around. Thank you virtual friends. :classic_love:

Just a tiny suggestion, maybe - start a new continuation thread #2 - same title, link to this one, at year's end & beginning of January (maybe, kick that off with a snapshot of where the "rest" of the NCL ships in the fleet are - make it clean, neat, organize & faster to skim thru the pages.  Didn't "we" used to (still) do that the one on ship's officers, etc. too pre-Covid, can't remember as I thought we had a few of these - Mods can help marked it as Sticky ... the Search function being what it is.

No, let's continue with this thread. It's only 22 pages so far, and now there are just a few ships left to monitor before they begin cruising full-time post-pandemic, and then this thread will probably die out.

If the mods want to mark this as Sticky, fine, but this thread has a few months left of life.

Thanks to @FreestyleNovicefor starting this thread !

Thank YOU for starting this thread - it's been fun following and monitoring all the ships' movements post-pandemic.

There are now 7 ships left .... Jade (currently on hiatus in Dubai), Jewel, Sky, Spirit, Star, Sun (all 4 S's ships!) and Pride of America.

The Norwegian Sky has left San Juan, heading across the Atlantic to Gibraltar by Jan 1st.

Maybe for dry dock or other work somewhere in the Med, before heading back to Miami for the scheduled Bahamas sailings in Mid February?

@Rob_H Thanks for keeping this on front page!

Yes, interesting that Sky is heading across the pond to be refitted with the latest mods before resuming post-pandemic cruises. ETA at Gibraltar is Jan 2.

Spirit heading to Colombo Sri Lanka ETA 27 Dec.

Jade shifted from Dubai to Abu Dhabi last week.

Here are all the best wishes to you all and your loved ones for a Merry Christmas. Enjoy your festivities!

The Jewel has left Marseille, heading for Bar in Montenegro (for crew?), ETA Dec 28.

Good to see there's some activity with the smaller ships.

Merry Christmas to all!

A bit strange that Jewel would be doing so now as her first cruise isn't until March 2022. But hey, her first cruise starts from Panama City which is on the Pacific side ... mmm ... I may be speculating things, but methinks she will do the Asian route to pick up crew along the way and make the great pond crossing.

We shall see .... and keeping this thread alive .... 😎

I am not surprised to see The Jewel heading for Bar, Montenegro.  Probably will crew there.  Most ships have begun to crew two months prior to their 1st sailings, so about right now schedule.

One more thing ... it's the STAR, moving from Naples to Barcelona ... ETA 26 Dec. Her first cruise is Jan 16 2022 from Buenos Aires.

Star now on the way to Gibraltar, ETA 28 December. Still a long way to go to Buenos Aires!

The Spirit has left Colombo.

As forecast by @www3traveler , the Spirit's next stop is  Singapore, arriving late on Jan 1st, 2022.

First scheduled cruise is still out of Sydney on March 27 (probably won't happen), so maybe there are other plans.

Looks like the January 16 restart (14 days r/t Antarctica scenic cruising, from Buenos Aires) will actually happen.

Yes, a long ride to BA indeed ... 16 days!

We were booked on Jan 16 cruise, but cancelled it a month or 2 ago.
