Refared & Kept Previous Promos

My Spanish Passage Transatlantic has dropped in price twice since November 1st. I have emailed my Princess Planner and she was able to capture both drops and price, without changing my current promotions or booking #. In fact I actually got an additional 100 OBC. The reason I am posting this is because in the past whenever I refared I got a new booking number and had to relinquish my previous promotions but not this time! So price went down $850 and OBC went up 100 with same EZAIR, excursions, birthday dinner!! Although I have to take Princess excursions, my OBC covers excursions, gratuities, carrying 3 bottles on, and a little bit (200) for the casino. MARY R is taking great care of me 🤑

refare is normal if retaining the same/current promotion

rebook is normal for accepting a price drop under a new promotion ( lose all previous perks, but gain current perks )

Added current promo to previous promo so I'm not sure what she did BUT it worked in my favor. Not a refare as I got new promo (100 OBC) not a rebook as I kept previous promos? (Free upgrade / 600 OBC) Or do I misunderstand terms? Want to learn for future cruises ..... have / watching 4 others

Checked all 6 of our booked cruises. Two that we don't believe will sail (May/June 2021) are slightly less but I won't bother to refare as I don't believe they will sail and, if they do sail, I doubt we will be on them. (Likely full masking and limited off-ship opportunities.) The September 2021 Alaska cruise is more than we paid. The 3 early 2022 Australia/New Zealand cruises are all showing close to $100 more per person than when we booked.

I have never had to change booking numbers on a re-fare. A re-fare means they re-fare your current booking (thus booking number stays the same).

I have also never lost excursions, EZ Air, etc....

It sounds like who-ever has re-fared you in the past has done a poor job.

Enjoy your Australia/New Zealand cruises. I’ve done a few now to New Zealand and absolutely loved every moment.
