Did anyone else get the $100 dollar offer?

Don't do a mock booking. You need to click on Today's Deals and then your offers will come up. They constantly change offers over time to encourage new bookings.

I did both. But with that said, I originally discovered I was eligible for RU2 by doing a mock booking, so I think it’ll show up either way..

Yeah, I realized after I posted, that as long as you were logged in or entered your VIPF number, the offers would come up in a mock booking. That is how I found mine: saw $100 with $100 OBC (basically free cabin). I thought it was a mistake so I booked hoping they would honor it not knowing it was a legitimate offer.

What's the upcharge for OV or balcony on that offer?  I'd never stay in an inside room..

I'm not sure about that. You should call for that info if you have the same offer. I loved the balcony on our last cruise (Alaska) but Inside is okay because we're only in our cabin to sleep, shower or change clothes. I enjoy the cruise too much to be in my cabin.

  • We received the 100$ offer for an inside cabin on a European cruise in July/August 2022.We ended up booking a B2B 9 day and a 12 day , the " inside cabin " was  an obstructed view with the floor to ceiling window on the Carnival Pride.Casino cash back and the hundred back as an onboard credit the net cost was around 700$ after taxes.Spending money and airfare are another matter. We couldn't be happier. We had a similar cruise booked for this year that was going to cost around 7000$

Just a reminder to check all of your offers and do a comparison! I had the 'up to a suite free, free drinks everywhere, $500 free play' offer, which ended up being about $475 total after taxes and fees were added for a spa balcony on Magic for 8 days. Throw in the $200 OBC and $500 free play, and it looks great!

But then I looked at the 'plan now, play later' offer that wasn't free for the same cabin (but still super cheap), but offered $1000 free play instead of $500, and the same $200 OBC and free drinks everywhere. For a total of $750, I get an extra $500 in free play above the initial offer. Of course, your mileage may vary, but I'd rather have the extra free play instead of a lower up front cost.

You guys must all be big casino spenders to get free cruise offers.  I best I can get is a discount, free drinks while in the casino, and maybe some OBC.

I wouldn't consider myself a big spender, maybe that is why my offer was for an inside cabin. I do enjoy playing some just about each night. They have been loose with the offers but, they know the odds are with them. I've read the slots payouts at sea are lower than those mandated for casinos on land.

Wife and I both got snail mailings yesterday for free cruises.  Wife's was free balcony with $200 FunPlay and Drinks on Us and Hot Streak Bonus Offer with free Interior with $200 and DOU.

Mine on the other hand was free interior with DOU and the Hot Streak Bonus was Exclusive Casino Rates with $500 Onboard Credit plus DOU.

Looks like she's lost more at the casino than I have.  🤣

Yeah these seem like casino offers.. I’ve never spent a dime in the casino, because of the smoke and because I’m too chicken, lol

Not me, I just tried to do a mock booking and it was $1100/pp for interior and 2500/pp for balcony.

I'm going to keep an eye out though, I'd love to do a panama canal cruise, definitely a bucket list item..

Yes click on MY Deals in the drop down and the see available sails under that deal. I know some times mock bookings don't have curtain deals available as a choice,

Not a big spender in the casino AT All.  Just those penny machines.  That being said I too, got the offers from inside to balconies, so I jumped on the offers and booked 3 as I already had two cruises that have been booked for years and I have just kept moving them around after being canceled.  Bring on October 2021 and 2022.  Then I am thinking 2022 should be a  great year to retire. .

It's not always about how much $ you put in. It's about points earned. You earn 1 pt for every $2.50 you play in a slot machine on Carnival. If you put $100 in a slot machine and lose every spin you will get 40 pts. The thing is you don't lose every spin. Sure, you may not win $5,000 but you do win along the way. So that 40 pts could turn into 100 or more depending.

For us the casino is part of the cruise and we budget for it just as people budget for specialty dining, pictures, excursions, etc.

I booked 2 back-to-back cruises using the free balcony casino offer for late Nov. 2022 and early Dec.. A 7-day on the Pride followed by a 6-day on the Pride in the same balcony cabin. About $450 per cruise with $200 OBC on each cruise. The $450 included a $200 deposit and the rest fees, taxes and port charges. The $200 deposits were turned into the $200 OBC. Great deal!

My daughter and I use the same (great) PVP and she was booking a cruise for my birthday and had some decent ones.  While reviewing her offers, he checked mine and I had the great "$100 each balcony, etc." offer.  So, he ended up using my offer.  We always laugh when either or both of us get the "drinks on us" offers b/c we don't drink alcoholic beverages.  Instead, we order what we call "fancy drinks" like virgin pina coladas, Miami vices, mai tai, etc.  We have a longer cruise booked in February, so we chose a "prequel", shorter cruise in September using this offer.  I was thrilled with this offer, but more-thrilled to (hopefully) cruise in September with my daughter.  Living in north Texas makes it a nice, easy drive to Galveston.  Take care everyone.

I booked a balcony on Freedom to Alaska for July 2022 for $667 including taxes and port fees! With $200 OBC and Drinks on Us. Can’t beat this deal!

We could book a 16 day Panama Canal for $500 per person but in an ocean view room and hubby don't want it.  He wants a balcony!  Crazy!

I booked my balcony on this cruise!  We actually took advantage of two offers and made this a back-to-back.  We'll be on the sailing to Alaska just before this 🙂

Hope everything works out for you on your B2B. I know others have had their plans tossed trying to tie Alaska into a B2B because of the PVSA. You may be fine. I think it was for those trying to do Hawaii and Alaska B2B.

I booked that one as well. Hopefully by then we will be back to semi normal cruising.

We also snagged a balcony on this TA Lisbon to Tampa Oct.2022 plus b2b Rome to Lisbon in an ocean view.

I also booked us a balcony for a 5 day Eastern Caribbean Jan. 2022 , same deal. My husband had multiple offers. Hmm ... makes me think he has spent more  on the casino than I thought!!

I got that offer too. I just booked the 14 day out of New Orleans this November for $200 and got $200 OBC as I'm traveling by myself. Unfortunately I'm in an interior room. Now I'm going to buy 100 shares and apply for another $250 in OBC.

I’m interested to find out if they will apply the shareholder OBC to this type of booking. Please report back if you are able to do so.

Guidelines say "any cruise 14 day or longer receive $250 OBC."

We have several itineraries booked. Very interested to know if anyone has received the shareholder credit on one of these types of bookings. This is the wording that gave me pause::

”This benefit is available to shareholders holding a minimum of 100 shares of Carnival Corporation or Carnival plc. Employees, travel agents cruising at travel agent rates, tour conductors or anyone cruising on a reduced-rate or complimentary basis are excluded from this offer. This benefit is not transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash and, cannot be used for casino credits/charges and gratuities charged to your onboard account. Only one onboard credit per shareholder-occupied stateroom. Reservations must be made by February 28, 2022.”

There is a current thread about this on page 2, somebody there will know for sure. The only part I saw said "any."

This is interesting, it says can't be used to gamble or for gratuities. Not that it would be hard to spend free money.

As these sailings are for 2022 I do not think anyone will be able to get shareholder credit yet but will wait until Oct. to claim mine as (cancelled/rebooked cruise is in January 2022)  I was told by my pvp that the credit cannot be "put in for" until 3 months before sailing.  Don't know if this is true or not. Will be looking at my $100 offers and free balcony this weekend, and will hopefully convince dh to book one. (or more!)
