Arrival check in time slot

So Platinum and Diamond won't board early?  One of the only Platinum benefit I really like.  I printed my boarding pass for August cruise and it shows Priority.

If you look now the priority is gone. Mine is.

I wish they would have let us pick a time by when we booked. I booked last sept and someone who just now booked a almost free casino rate gets access to boarding slots same time as me.

I'm sure my hotel will make me check out, so I'll still want as early as I can rather than sit around in the texas heat.

So someone who had a cruise canceled has to go to the end of the line when they re-book a cruise? Poppycock!

Oh well, I'll just try to make sure I jump on completing on line check in as soon as it's available.  At this point I'm just praying that the cruise will take place and that the cruise lines find away around our governor's law.

Our check in dates just backed up by two days. Maybe they are giving Plat/Dia a little leeway. Our July 3, Vista check in was June 19th; as of this afternoon, changed to June 17th.

I hope you keep us all up to date as your sailing seems to be the earliest that i have heard. Nice to know if your check does go early and what time windows were available

Now even better is if they do honor FTTF and not Diamond priority boarding. I am ready to pay double for that perk, but they have to walk me by the Diamond seating section as we board.

Blasphemy!  Wedding parties should be the ONLY people let on board before Diamonds and Platinums. It's the best perk that has been EARNED,  not paid for.

I wonder if everyone's changed or just priority.  I hope it's just priority!

I was just able to find out. We have a group going in February, and the cabin with a Platinum member has the check-in now listed for two days before the other cabins.

That made my day!  I will reach platinum on my next cruise and was really looking forward to boarding early.  My check in date is August 7th, so if it ever changes to the 5th, I will be happy.  I will still wait up until just after midnight to do it.

Not if you only buy it for the priority boarding and on one of the July/August cruises.

They have already said that there will not be priority boarding when they first start back up.

That was for the VIFP status, not FTTF. Now, it could be for both, but why would they be selling something that they will not honor?

I can understand either way. In the end, it will not affect my vacation. It will be refunded immediately. I do see this as being easier to manager though than people think. FTTF and VIFP have the earliest time slots reserved. For lack of anything to go on, VIFP and FTTF have 10AM-12PM terminal times. These are spread out and on first come first serve basis. All others are on a first come first served from 12PM - Last Boarding Call.

I don't think there will be any seating for the short term. I think it is check-in and walk onboard. That is what I expect. They don't want people gathering outside the terminal nor inside.

John Heald stated that they were still working on embarkation however we may not get priority boarding for initial cruises as they work through the start up. And if unable to do FTTF monies would be refunded. I can tell you that for our August cruise they have changed our check in again. We are 5 couples, two of us are platinum/diamond and our check in is now 2 days before the rest of our group that all bought FTTF.

I am not against this at all. This is a good path forward. It makes sense to have VIFP at 16 days before, then FTTF 15 days before, and then open the flood gates for everyone else 14 days before. This is a VERY simple IT change for cruising to start. This gives the opportunity for VIFP members to select their times first. They have that 24-hour window to get what they want. If they don't do it in that time frame, then they have to deal with the hoards. At the 15 day mark, FTTF group is open to select their times and those in the VIFP levels can still do it. At the 14 day mark, the entire cruise has access and what ever you get, you get.

So my check in for my Sept 12th cruise also changed by 2 days. Now able to check in 16 days out instead of 14. A benefit i can temporally live with. Still looking forward to info on those checking in on first batch of cruises.

My check in date for my August 21st cruise is still August 7th.  It could be because I am not platinum until the cruise starts, although I used to have priority on my luggage tags and documents.  I will keep checking.  If it doesn't change, I will still check in after midnight.  I am glad to see that it changed for the people who are already priority.

LOL.  You realize you EARNED that perk by PAYING a whole bunch of money to Carnival over the years.

As it should be for a perk that was earned for your loyalty to Carnival.

Not really, became Platinum in January of 2009 when I had my official 10th cruise.

And those who buy FTTF for 129.00?  That's enough to cover gratuities and dinner at Jiji's and Cucina.

I would fight for that silver card at check in because precovid that is what you would have received.
