Rare twangster Posted August 1, 2021 #1 Share Posted August 1, 2021 I joined the crowds at Jetty Park to take in Mardi Gras's inaugural sail away finally with paying guests on board. I know cruisers like to find their cabin so I'm including a bunch of random pics to help in this effort, this time for the starboard side of the ship. For some pictures of the port side of the ship see this thread: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2793383-mardi-gras-sail-past-at-dawn-july-29-2021/ Port Canaveral lines up pretty much due East/West and with a 6pm sail away the sun was not working in my favor as a photographer. So I'm apologizing in advance for some pics not having ideal lighting. Someone hired a banner plane. Carolina is, apparently, the best. Finally the time arrived and she left the pier! You can see what I mean about the position of the sun in this next photo. You also get to see a pretty impressive local turn out to Jetty Park to see her off. It's so good to see her with guests on board! Finally into the Atlantic for her first cruise with guests on board! Bon Voyage! But wait... there's more! Video coming in next post. 6

U4icmusic Posted August 1, 2021 #11 Share Posted August 1, 2021 This ship looks nice. It is very different from all Carnival's other ships. The $15 charge for the Bolt roller coaster is excessive for a 15-20 second ride.
Rare twangster Posted August 1, 2021 Author #12 Share Posted August 1, 2021 Did everyone see it? The smoke that is. Or lack of smoke.
