Waterworks.  There are numerous slides. Looks even bigger and better than the Vista Class water parks.  And unlike Bolt, it is free.  (I don't think the Bolt looks that great.)

Thank you so much for all of the pictures and updates!  If you go to a comedy show during your cruise, can you let me know if masks are required while watching the show if you don't have a drink?  Thanks.

I don't know if they were required or not, but once everyone sat down, about a third of the people took them off.  However, I also was at an early show and it was nowhere near full.

Is that  little infinity edge pool the Loft 19 pool, Serenity, or free-access?

The little pool overlooking Serenity with the glass is loft 19.  The bigger pool near the outdoor sitting area is Serenity.

However, there are 2 pools at the aft and at least one (deck 16) is infinity edge because I can see the water at the glass from my cabin below. Not sure about the pool in the patio area, but it looks like it may be infinity edge.

No deck chairs around the pool?!?!

There are abundance of chairs everywhere. They may have been cleaning or something.  Not sure. I took that picture early yesterday morning when I first boarded. Have not been back to that area.  But there isn't a shortage of lounge chairs.

As for masks, the only place they are strictly enforcing them is at the Lido Buffet...which, imo, where they SHOULD be enforced.  I don't want people breathing on my food.  They weren't even being enforced at dinner as people were walking to and from their seats without them.  There are signs all over the ship, but no one is saying anything to anyone except at the buffet. Some people wear them, some don't. All of this fuss seems to be much ado about nothing.

According to the letter that Carnival sent out, masks are "strongly encouraged", not mandatory. But hopefully common sense will prevail.

Loving you review/pictures so far. I still have 433 days away 😞

We just passed the Mardi Gras 20 minutes ago as we left Port Canaveral on the Carnival Magic.. a lot of waving back and forth between the two ships, and a lot of horn blowing...

Hahaha some reason I feel like a kid again with the waving back and forth and horn blowing 🤣😂

The "strongly encouraged" is for all of the indoor locations where it is not mandatory.  The mandatory areas were previously listed as buffet, casino, shops, entertainment venues, elevators, waiting in line at MDR and other areas around the ship where people congregate that will have signs.

Seems like the only place that it is being enforced on the MG is the buffet.  Last week there were a handful of positive cases reported on the Vista and mid cruise the mask policy went into effect. It was reported on a different thread that inside the entertainment venues, if you had a drink in your hand, that did not waive the mask rule, it was being enforced in between sips.

Now I'll be in the section more this look more like for adults now compared to old serenity decks... I'll be dressed fancy in the area with my drink in hand. Thank you I need to book for this ship.

You do have 3 options.  Option 1 is the Mardi Gras out of Port Canaveral, option 2 would be the Celebration out of Miami, which debuts at the end of 2022, and option 3 would be Excel 3, which is rumored to begin in late 2023 out of Galveston.
