Did it taste as good?

Absolutely. They are all exceptional dishes and survive being delivered quite well. Paired with a nice Landhaus Gruner Veltliner from the Barossa Valley ( but the cellar door is in Hahndorf) it was a delicious meal.

Good to hear.  We regularly get takeaway from a local cafe which operates as Vietnamese on Weekend evenings only.  It doesn’t present as well as takeaway but tastes as good.

That wine sounds like ye olde Geurwitz traminer, sweet, not heard of the Landhaus Gruner Veltliner, sounds like a premium grape 🍇.

I am just having a cheapie, yellowtail malbec from Griffith, drinkable, what more do you expect for $8 from uncle dan.

No, it's not sweet like  Gerwurtztraminer. It's a light Austrian white that's not as full bodied as a chardonnay. It fits alongside pinot grigio, riesling or sauvignon blanc. Landhaus is a winery with a cellar door in Hahndorf. We stopped in for a tasting and ended up buying two cases of wine. They make European-style wines. Recently they had a sale so we got a case of the Gruner Veltliner, and a case of their very nice Shiraz, for around $13-14 a bottle.

We discovered a few wineries on our trip that did European style wines, which tend to be a bit lighter than their Australian equivalents.
