Ah ok! Then I trust your info! Do you happen to know the date and number of nights?

For the trans-canal Mia-LA, 16 nights (same coming back), but as for the rest, alas, no.

Why, I hear you asking, would he know about the Mia-LA cruise but not the others?  Because it is the Mia-LA cruise I am interested in.

So maybe traveling Europe. Asia, Australia  to North America? (four continents)

I'd bet Europe, North America, Africa, and western Asia (Ephesus, Mitilini, Bodrum, Antalya, etc) to comprise the four continents.

It actually ended up being 5 continents; Europe, Africa, Asia, North America, and South America.

I’m curious how the solo stateroom pricing will look. No prices listed!

I guess you have to ask

NEW Concierge Level Solo Veranda now available – call for fares.

Well nothing appears cheap, but then again Oceania is not a cheap cruise line. But, it's a pretty fair increase over comparable cruises on Marina or Riviera. I'm sure someone could probably prove me wrong, but I'm not going to look it up.

I did not think the prices were out of line with the current cruises   since they are probably adding some buffer for inflation in the next 2 yrs

Now to pick just one 😉

My problem is I've been to most of the places that are on the itineraries. I do like a couple though.

Have you thought about visiting new places?

For example, should we visit Rome again I was planning to go to Civita.

No, not the one you're thinking of but this one:

When you embark or disembark from Athens (or visit some Greek port nearby) consider going to Meteora (unless you've been there already). It is one of the most awe inspiring places you'll see

I have been to Civita di Bagnoregio, fantastic place.. I thought I was in a fantasy movie. I have not been to Meteora. I'll check that out. Yes, I would like to revisit some ports as I know there are many places I could go from those ports that I haven't seen. BUT, I still haven't been to any Asian countries, much of South America I haven't seen, among many others, only so much time and so little money. I'm still waiting to not have to jump through so many hoops to travel.

We have been researching Meteora for about a year.  It is absolutely fascinating and is currently on our top 3 of future destinations.

That one also caught my eye as well.  However,  I'm in the camp to let others pay the premium to be on the new ship, I'll wait a year or two.  Plus, I have deposits on various trips out to summer 2023, so the decision  it out of my hands if I become weak.

You can get an idea of the place in a day but you really need an overnight there to fully appreciate the place. Most pictures show the mountaintop monasteries and as impressive as they are, the treasures are inside.

Good luck.

We were quite intrigued by the possibility of being on the maiden voyage of Vista but would want to do at least a b2b, if we were to fly that far.

When we work out the cost per day compared with other ships, there certainly is a premium added. about  $30,000 for A1 for 22 days - - - about $25,000 for B4.

If we actually get to plan a trip to Meteora, I will come back asking for more details.  Thnx Paul.

I can hardly wait to get one of Vista’Brochures  in the mail, the e- brochure was GORGEOUS.

IF I may suggest, it is going to be a ZOO come September 15 and I would be willing to bet the computer system will be overloaded as people try to book those Vista Inaugural cruises in Spring 2023.  Since she is being built in Italy, I am sure she will spend the summer in Europe showing off to everyone and then a Trans Atlantic like we did on Riviera in 2019, Southampton to Iceland to NYC and on down to Florida and the Caribbean for the winter.

I wouldn't book one of the inaugural cruises because things happen. We learned that with Riviera back in 2012 when her schedule was delayed because of a backlog at the shipyard in Italy. We were booked on Riviera's 3rd cruise and it was cancelled. We rescheduled to later in the year.   It was probably just a fluke but.....   I'd love to cruise on Vista but I'll wait awhile.    YMMV

Ours showed up today. Unfortunately two people in our area won't be getting theirs as the letter insert with the address on it had two more people's address cards stuck to them, I haven't seen that before. Must have been some sort of sorter error.

Looking forward to checking it out when I have more time. I usually prefer looking at a real book over the digital ones.

What time will bookings open on the 15th?  And will TAs be able to book before non-TAs?

The French balcony cabins (deck 7) appear to be over the casino and below lifeboats.  Would those factors make those cabins less desirable (noise, poor light)?

This has been addressed before. The Travel Agents have their own portals for bookings which are not the same as the one you see on the O website.

Here’s a very small mind game for you. Do you believe that high production Travel Agents with 50-100+ bookings on any given open booking day, are sitting there inputting all those reservations after reservations open? If you’re #85 in their line for a very popular cruise, do you believe you’ll get your cruise with that high production TA? If so, you’d want an Agent with few if any other customers. Not the way it works.
