They also never used to give you 4, 5, or 6 free drinks per day to be used in any bar (on the ship or on the private island) at any time of day.  

The perk changed to vouchers-only, and the vast majority of people seem to be better off with the new program.

We are Diamond (4 drinks) and got off the Serenade of the Seas 9/13 and we only used our 4 drink limit two out of the seven day cruise.  We like that we have the freedom of getting our drinks (better quality) whatever time we wanted .  We filled out the survey and let Royal know that we are all in on the drink voucher,  and the new disembarking policy.

In the past, you were limited to the brands and types of drinks on the "diamond drink list."

 

Now, you can have any drink you want that doesn't exceed $13.  You can have those drinks anywhere, any time.

Can someone tell me if 18 year old Diamond Plus members get the 5 vouchers per day to use for non-alcoholic drinks?

On allure for the past two weeks, the bar tenders gave us bottled water every time we asked for it without ever asking for our sea pass cards - YMMV
