Ozy71 Posted September 17, 2021 #1 Share Posted September 17, 2021 Hi has anyone come across this before? We have a cruise booked to NZ on the Celebrity Eclipse, Nov 2022. I am being charged A$1564.72 in taxes. I checked the price for the same cruise and the taxes quoted are A$864.68. Phoned Celebrity (still on hold for a Supervisor) they say the taxes can not be changed. How can these charges vary for exactly the same itinerary? By The Bay Posted September 17, 2021 #2 Share Posted September 17, 2021 Good question. I hope the supervisor can explain this to you. 🤔
Ozy71 Posted September 17, 2021 Author #3 Share Posted September 17, 2021 After 90 Mins on the phone and getting passed to the Escalations Dept, they credited the Taxes etc. to the the correct level, saving A$700. Worth a phone call.

Well worth the wait.🤑 It could have been a software glitch although I've never noticed it in the past. Port fees and taxes are included in fares booked in Australia but are added on separately elsewhere.
sewgood Posted September 17, 2021 #6 Share Posted September 17, 2021 Well worth checking the fine print. I must admit I don't look at the breakdown, I'll now do that.
Chiliburn Posted September 17, 2021 #7 Share Posted September 17, 2021 If you booked in Australia all those fees are included,it would have been a mistake. Theres a lot of mistakes as RCG Sydney are pretty well overwhelmed at the moment .
