No bingo on the Edge??

We sailed on the Edge on September 4, 2021. It was a fantastic cruise and the ship and crew were amazing. Much to our surprise, there was no Bingo held each day on the ship. With the average age of cruisers on the ship probably in the 70's, you would think Bingo would be a big hit. We did mention this on our pot-cruise survey. Does anyone know why Celebrity doesn't offer bingo?? TIA

They replaced it with Deal or No Deal

Deal No Deal costs a lot to get cards, is difficult to keep up with, and only 2 passengers get to actually play the game.

I suspect it won't last long. It was horrible. Never playing again.

It was on the Edge two years ago when I sailed....I don't think it is going anywhere.

No bingo this week on Millennium.  I suspect it will return eventually but now with reduced numbers on board they may think it won’t produce enough revenue.

Was Bingo ever offered on the Edge?

Yes. Observed. on both of our EDGE cruises  Held in the Martini Bar. Good turnout.   They also had an on screen type game for a fee that they were pushing..no idea what happened with that.  ??  Old threads seemed to indicate it was not  very popular..

Thanks, not exactly a large venue.  Never saw it on our 3 sailings but wouldn’t have been looking for it either.

I'm on the Edge in a couple weeks and was contacted by a research company that is doing research on a new Bingo concept on the Edge during my sailing.  Wanted to know if I would be willing to give up about 90 minutes of my time to evaluate the new format. Sure, why not.  I think they are throwing in an OBC for the effort.

We were on Edge Aug 21.... no bingo... we were sad! LOVE this activity at least once a cruise! LOL

I don't recall any bingo on Summit a couple months ago.  We only had 450 passengers on the cruise, and that might have had something to do with it (although social distancing wouldn't be much of a problem, would it?)

 

To be honest, though, I did not pay attention as to whether it was there.  We're in that group that may have played at one time but haven't in a good 20 years or so.  I would think that I still would recall announcements, and I recall none.

I hate doing or participating in all these casino type events. Its not because I am way to unlucky person, it hurts my brain that I have to deal with this stuff instead of having fun with something real

Welll, it won't take 90 minutes to decide that it sucks.

I admit that I did not notice if Bingo was being offered on  Edge in the summer of 2019.  I also did not notice if art auctions or "Deal or No Deal" was offered.  I'd have to go through my old Daily Planners.  I don't even know if I had a free scoop of gelato!

I’m to busy enjoying a vacation to miss anything on land, but even then bingo on land never done it.
