Here is the menu from the winemaker's dinner I attended in August on the Majestic. The amuse-gueule was escargot in puff pastry. I don't know if your allergy allows you to eat snails. If not, then you'd just miss out on the first two courses of this menu. I would gladly sit beside you and eat your portions, while you could enjoy more wine. The shrimp dish was especially good.

The Captain came over the speaker at about 10 to 7 this morning asking for blood donations for a critically ill passenger. A bit later they announced they had sufficient blood donors. I hope that the passenger is doing better and am so thankful for those who stepped up to donate. I was not the blood type they asked for but they stated you need a donor card to donate, which I haven’t heard before. I will certainly look into that when I get home so I too can donate if needed one day. 
 

There was no med evac and we are near the coastline so hopefully that means the passenger is ok. 
 

if you are on this board, you likely know, but I recommend you always have travel insurance while cruising. Even if you are healthy, things happen.

Oh darn! I also wanted to volunteer to sit beside @pkt1976and help her with the shellfish portions. I could happily trade off any servings of lamb that appeared on my plates!

I'm  from Vancouver, so I usually cruise from this home port. With Kevin on the cruise, was Charles Fox and Allan Rich, both songwriters. Forgive me for high-jacking the thread. Still loving your posts @pkt1976. Thanks so much!

How is this Majestic cruise doing now?

Any news on the ill passenger?

Oh my the last few days have been so busy! I’ll try to catch back up since the next couple are sea days. 
 

I do want to bring one thing up, which I’ve been debating how to word. Yesterday more than one passenger brought up their interpretation of how one Princess crew member was speaking to another.  The feedback was they felt the person (henceforth denoted as 🚢 )  was being mean to and belittling the other crew member. I didn’t see the original interaction but did see another later yesterday between them and to me, it seemed like friendly banter. I don’t know either of them, but I felt the right thing to do was talk to 🚢, not about 🚢 and make assumptions.  

I do have friends and Contacts  here so I did honestly first confirm my perception of 🚢 and the humor and interactions. Now..  If I was told 🚢 was a jerk, I would have been fine with the crows eating 🚢 for a snackie 😉 . There have been crew members who were nasty and Mean to their coworkers I’ve encountered so I don’t blindly defend either. 
 

I did chat with 🚢because I think the right thing to do is ask and not assume and potentially damage someone’s reputation.  Based on my observations and interactions with 🚢, I think 🚢 is a good person working through some very challenging circumstances. There’s a lot going on, and there will be more challenges in the near future. 🚢 told me 🚢 and the other person have known each other for years and that’s how they play, but 🚢appreciated being told about the concern. 

I guess long story short, I hope you all treat others how you want to be treated and confirm  facts before potentially harming someone’s reputation. 
 

Based on what crew members who’ve become friends have told me, Princess has high standards for give everyone is expected to treat each other.

this cruise I’ve been constantly confused about what time it is 😅we didn’t fall back Sunday, we didn’t change time Sunday, then we went forward an hour Tuesday night, now we are going back an hour tonight, and I think tomorrow night as well

Our cruise is coming to an end 🙁. 

 

Last night, we had dinner in Bistro Sur La Mer.  The food was outstanding, as was the service.  The only thing we would change is the lighting.  It is a bit bright.

 

Also, we have been streaming on our tablet (Spectrum, Netflix and Hulu) and it has worked great!  Last night, we watched the Lakers win over Miami in OT via the Spectrum app.

 

The TV shows and movies on the Medallion On-Demand system are really dated.  I don't think they have yet updated them since pre-covid!

 

Off to the Fitness Center....

Here are some photos from the sail in to Cabo. I was in the fence if I was getting off the ship or not 😂I mostly spent the day In the Hollywood Club pool, but did go to shore for a little shopping at 3pm. I was the only person on the tender going out which was quite nice. 
 

there were plenty of people selling tours in the marina area, and it’s still very easy to get in a boat to go see the arches. 
 

during 2020, I got hooked on Below Deck so yachts are more interesting to me now 🤷🏼‍♀️😆

This is Nathaan Phan, his show was great! He does comedy, magic, and wow can he sing as well. 
 

His Scottish accent is an added bonus. He’s on Instagram under magicasianman. I met him a couple nights before his shows he’s very fun, outgoing and approachable, he said he loves meeting and chatting with guests. He will be on the ship next week as a guest entertainer as well. 
 

he has a shoe in Explorers tonight as well .

Nothing looked amazing on the lunch menu (which you can view on the stateroom tv) so I ordered food and drink to my stateroom. This is one new option I’ve loved this cruise. 
 

the app shows you the status of your order and you can order food and drink from most places onboard.

This is the official menu for the mocktails and juices. I have been able to get virgin pina coladas and strawberry daiquiris from bartenders, and if you like mango, ask to add mango juice to the pina colada, very yummy .

It’s been impossible for me to post, so I’ll wait until we get home to add anything in detail, but I will say that now is the time to cruise if you can. You will never experience anything like this again…..a half empty ship, with 5 star service. It’s been amazing. We cruise again I’m January, and can’t wait. Everything has been stellar.
