Tonight on Onward we were treated to a fantastic show by Eric de Gray. A show that was 1 hour and twenty minutes long. He really is a true showman.

We agree;  Eric is a true showman.  Do you know if he will still be aboard for the Dec. 12 cruise?

AMEN!  Its been more than 3 years since we saw his show and it was great to hear him again.   We've had 101 nights on ships since then, so maybe 80 shows?  and 40-50 single performers?   None come close to  Eric--- a league of his own!

On board Quest from Athens.  Full house although 9 denied boarding because of incorrect vaccine paperwork. Large group of 94 onboard and  90% of the ship is  new to Azamara!

90% new to Azamara.  Wow, that's rare.  The only time I've seen the rate of repeaters anywhere near that low was on one of the last cruises Azamara did to Cuba. Most passengers were frequent Celebrity customers who complained about the entertainment and the lack of a gigantic casino.

Guess they didn't read the brochure.😉

New concept for Az being trialled on Onward at present. They have a guest Michelin starred chef- Michael Sandoval who is going to do three chefs tables (all sold out within a day). He did a presentation today and I believe he is very good.16658674092016937502709096119623.thumb.jpg.fb50b56168719c486405cfaa56387051.jpg

Well, that sounds interesting!

Are you going?

If so, can you report back? 😀

On Quest. Predicted high winds replaced our first day in Tinos to Syros. However the pilot would not come out this morning, so we are on our way to Mykonos  where we were due to dock tomorrow, for an extra day now. Captain Jonas is keeping us informed. Fingers crossed.

I think that’s a great way to breathe new life into the Chef’s Table, which has become a slightly tired and overworked concept, IMO.  I hope it works well.

Journey trying to keep a tendering operation going in Zikanthos. Given my back damage in Kotor not for me or many others it’s rough very bouncy and breezy

He also did a 3 course selection in MDR last night... a wonderful potato-less gnocchi, a great 5 oz filet, and a chocolate dessert that received DW's approval -- no small feat!

White night last night on Onward. We did attend duly dressed in white but found it a bit disorganised. We're not fans of queues and loud music so scuttled away to Discoveries. Looked like we weren't the only escapees. Many tables occupied. Some by those in white but also others who'd obviously had no intention of going to the deck party. The menu was great.

I'm sure most passengers enjoyed the white night but I'm posting this for others who might not fancy it and to show they are not alone and that alternatives are available.
