All of those ships have been "revolutionized", so in very good shape. I would say Silly would be the best bet as she is S class, larger than the other two. She likely has a larter casino too.

thank you...all good things

Sincere best wishes to you, family and friends as you celebrate thanksgiving from across the pond!

Both Millennium and Summit are older ships although both have been upgraded in the last few years. Silhouette is a newer and bigger ship and we have sailed them all.

To us the Silhouette is the winner by a mile…We do find the M class ships limited in speciality dining (important for us). There are six speciality restaurants choices on Silhouette (Murano, Tuscan, LPC, Lawn Grill, Porch and Sushi on five) compared to three on the other ships (Tuscan, LPC and Sushi). Removing the Murano equivalents on the M class was (in our opinion) a bad move.

We also prefer ‘the flow’ of the S class ships generally, hard to describe, but everywhere seems easy to get to and no where ever seems crowded….Silhouette in particular is now enhanced by upgraded seating area around the sunset bar to the lawn area.

For people who have never cruised before itinerary is really important. As are the excursion options available at the ports of call. Nothing wrong with Summit or Millennium, just Silhouette has more still to offer. You will have a wonderful cruise on whatever ship you choose! Put some options together and let your friends decide what is really important to them…

What a great response....and Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.  It seems like the Silhouette is leading in referrals.  And you are correct we will have a good time anywhere we go.....just happy they decided to give it a try.  Thank you

I would also say Silhouette because I love the World Class Bar and they don’t have that bar on M class ships. Also, if you like specialty restaurants there are more options on Silhouette……but you can’t go wrong with any of the ships. One other thing to keep In mind is that some sailings get cancelled due to charters and the charters seem to be M class ships more often than S class.

We would never book a cruise or ship based on someone's positive or negative opinions or experiences.

I would certainly ignore some people’s reviews, but not every one.  It is factor that I put into my decision analysis. I use all the information available to me.

I'm amazed that everyone that has shown a preference has chosen the Silhouette over the Summit.  My only two cruises with Celebrity were on the Summit.  I thought it was a great ship and had a great experience both times.  It's hard to imagine anything better, but based on these responses, it seems there might be.  If only I had more time and $$$ to book...

There is nothing wrong with the Summit and the M Class.  It's just the S Class ships are just a notch above and the E Class ships take it even higher.  Our last cruise was in  January 2020 on the Edge and our next is a 12 day B2B on the Apex from the 3rd to 15th this coming January.  Check out the various YouTube videos and become educated.

Only speaking for my wife and I. Threads like this are an example why I made the comment.

I’ve sailed all three of your choices. All are wonderful! Different, but each wonderful in their own way. The thing is, for me anyway, what makes a cruise is not the fabric on the furniture or the paintings and other artwork on the walls (by the way, Silhouette wins hands down in this regard! ). It is the crew, the pampering they give, the warmth of their welcome. Celebrity has good people.

While we enjoy all Celebrity class ship, we love the Silly.  The choice of speciality restaurants great.  Our favorite is the Lawn Club grill.  If possible, book a sky suite or above to have access to Luminae, the retreat lounge and deck.  While I am not sure the retreat deck has added a water option yet.   The suite option will really be very special for them.

Enjoy your cruise.

Yes, who cares? All of Celebrity's ships are special in their own way. And don't wait till late 2022 to sail. Great things going on right now with 3/4/5 night cruises. We've recently been aboard the 3 night Summit and 5 night Constellation. Good times and lovely weather.

Take your pals to the Oceanside Cafe for quick bite to eat and enjoy music at the  Sunset Bar as the ship drops lines. You don't have to drink martinis to enjoy the Martini Bartenders and their gift for flair.

Right now the per person prices are very inexpensive and the All included makes even a tightwad smile.

In fact, book two cruises for yourself and don't tell your friends. You'll probably have a better time.

I had a friend who worked for Royal back in the 90's who FINALLY convinenced us to go on a freinds and family cruise. I took work with me expecting to be bored out of my mind.

I put the paperwork down on a desk. The next time I touched it was leaving the ship on Monday morning!

BTW, the company you are with can make a huge difference.

We have traveled with freinds that were a delight and others who had the bad taste to wear shorts to the MDR on formal night.....

I say make sure YOU'RE going to have a good time and I would still recommend the Sillie. It is a totally different vibe from the Millenium class ships.
