Again since this is a live one, we have settled in to a nice, very new and sleek Holiday Inn Express just off I-80 in Ohio. Road conditions were excellent, dry and sunny, mostly light traffic, with just a few miles of construction zones on the Penn Turnpike. 
 

Picked up Subway and I’m just having a veggie delight salad. Need to detox a bit!!  Truly I plan to do OMAD for a few days next week which I have found to be pretty easy (for a short time) and extraordinarily helpful in easing my digestive issues. 
 

Should be with the kitties tomorrow early afternoon.

Soooo I have seen a few of these overly sensationalized tales of passenger outrage related to the small surge of cases on some cruises this week and cancellation of ports.

 

I am not amused by this, folks. Not one little bit. I get that those ABC islands are something special and that people absolutely book based on that itinerary and that it would be disappointing, perhaps extremely so, to lose that. 
 

Aaaaaaand none of us WANTS to pick up the ‘Rona breakthrough on our voyage. 
 

But this running to the press to cry foul is NOT COOL. We ALL know, or SHOULD know, both the risk of port cancellations and the risk of, you know, CATCHING COVID. This is the world we live in.

 

This is like complaining the CASINO STOLE YOUR MONEY. 
 

We cruisers should be united in reasonable logic, if nothing else. That logic says you take intelligent risks and then you accept the results of your gamble. 
 

I’m sorry people are catching this disease on ships and that everyone still bears possible disappointments related to it. Now SHUT UP.

@KmomChicago....great post......the key is "we cruisers should be united in reasonable logic"......that's the problem in society today.....logic has left the building......we've become the society of entitlement....I paid my money I want what I paid for.....very sad.  I refuse to fall into that rabbit hole.

Our overnight hotel has a single cup Keurig which is nice and fine and everything. 
 

So why am I instead wanting to get dressed and schlep all the way up to deck 9 like exactly one week ago and also yesterday?

 

Seriously that fresh brewed strong Americano is YUM! 👍☕️Needs real cream to cut it. Also yum.

Thanks Ninjacat. I seem to be about normal. It could easily have been stress or something I ate. I’m interested to see how the cats behave. They are both vocal so we expect lectures with a lot of tone!

I agree 100% with this.  My wife and I just got off Oasis of the Seas on the 19th.  Anyone who has ever been to the ABC islands know they have to be careful because their medical systems are not capable of handling what ours can in the U.S.  They also know that tourism is their lifeline.   

 

I know we and almost everyone travelling in the world today, know this risks.  If ports get changed...big deal!  This cruise industry, their employees and all of the island are doing what they have to do to survive.  If is changes our stops, oh well, we all knew the risks when we chose to travel at this time.

 

Also, thank you KMom for a great review.  It was appreciated.

LOLLLL !    that was my wife's very first comment the first morning as we were sitting in the living room after her first cruise in 2007 (which, I reminded her, she did NOT want to go on) she thought it'd be like 'Love Boat' a bunch of tux/evening wearing rude snobs. Till she ACTUALLY got on one and 15 minutes later she was SOLD  ! Now 20 something cruises later she's a diehard cruise fan

So glad you're feeling better and just hours away from home. Loved your review. Thank you so much for the review. and your heat warming comments about my years as a D/S crime scene tech..

Just a few hours and you'll be HOME !! I know it'll be nice to sleep in your own bed ! I spent a week every other month traveling/sight seeing around the U.S. anywhere Delta flew the last 6-7 years of my job. sooo I kinda got used to sleeping in hotels/motel. The wife would go w/me IF she had vacation time but she only got 2 weeks a year and she made it CLEAR, one of those weeks was for a cruise !! Besides she never slept well in a motel. I know your 'fur babies' will greet you with their 'singing' (soft meowing) as I call it which will sound like ' AMEN ! AMEN!)  to your ears. Rest and sleep well, tonight.

Thank you! He is a nearly perfect specimen with a sweet personality and only 2-3 years old so I’m not sure how we ended up with him. Normally I’m drawn to the most hopeless cases. We absolutely adore him. He’s very glad we’re here and has completely forgiven us. Our old white female chonk is happy too but definitely has more attitude about the whole thing.
