Don’t take a chance. Take your ORIGINAL card. Princess website vaccination requirements under Q& A: The following formats are acceptable proofs of full vaccination: COVID-19 vaccination card (original card only; no photocopies accepted), digital COVID-19 certificate (QR code acceptable); or record of COVID-19 vaccination from a healthcare provider including original digital email notification, personal electronic health record, or government Immunization information system (IIS) record. The following identifiers for the proof of full vaccination should include your first and last name, a patient identifier such as date of birth, medical record ID, or government ID, type of vaccine (manufacturer), date of doses administered, lot number, if available, and healthcare professional or clinic site name. The proof of full vaccination must show that your final dose of vaccine was received at least two weeks (14 days) prior to the beginning of the cruise. Alternative proof may be required if there are questions and concerns about the proof of vaccination you produce. During check-in at the terminal, you will be required to show full proof of vaccination. If you are unable to produce the described proof of vaccination, you will be denied boarding without refund, credit or compensation of any kind. unquote It does say the type of digital, that are acceptable. However, why risk it, if you don’t have the one they want to see? I think digital is a great backup, but nothing better than the card. Some ports may require to see you’re vaccinated also. In that case, we will carry a COPY of our card. Not taking my original off the ship. I also don’t want to take my phone out and show a digital to anyone. Hope this helps. Luckiestmanonearth Posted December 18, 2021 #79 Share Posted December 18, 2021 (edited) Thanks for the replies on the proof of vax cards Another question - we are on the Jan 23rd sailing on CB and a) wondering if we should book specialty restaurants now prior to sailing or just wait and do it when we board ? b) does this ship offer Captains Table? I’m not even sure my app will let me book specialty restaurants this early anyway Edited December 18, 2021 by Luckiestmanonearth

Certainly bring the original card if you have it. My husband lost his. A copy of his medical records got him on the ship. Not sure if it would have been sufficient had he been questioned in a port, it didnt come up in our ports.

tlcm Posted December 19, 2021 #91 Share Posted December 19, 2021 Has anyone seen the big "clamshell" loungers on the Caribbean Princess? I like to play games on vacation and spreading out on one of those would be ideal. Thanks!
tlcm Posted December 19, 2021 #92 Share Posted December 19, 2021 (edited) Also, does anyone know if one can order a la carte from the Crown Grill or Sabbatini's for room (non-suite) delivery? It's been done lately on the Ruby from my understanding. Thanks! Edited December 19, 2021 by tlcm

The fitness center is not on the Princess list of places where masks are required as stated on their website (again, trouble posting the link here). DH reported that when he was there on the recumbent bike, of the handful of people in there, no masks. I did Zumba as well at Club Fusion and no masks. I think it is excluded as a high exertion activity. Everyone I saw wore masks into the event and when they left. There was social distancing. Then again, we were at 45% capacity so it was easy to do. Ok, thanks for the info.

We really want to pack light and not bring a bunch of formal wear Once again people post the "official" Princess dress code which isn't what they really adhere to on any of the ships. I wouldn't count on wearing shorts in the DR on any evening (although some ships do allow it) but the guys they can just wear a pair of dress pants & dress shirt while the women can wear just about anything such as a pair of slacks any a dressy top. A formal gown or dress isn't required. Some guys like my husband wear dress slacks & guayabera shirt without any problems. He hasn't worn a jacket & tie in over 15 years. If you do show up dressed in jeans & a T shirt they'll probably direct you to the buffet.

In all the cruising we done over the years, I’ve never, ever worn anything but black jeans and typically a Hawaiian shirt into CC for dinner. Zero issues. We really want to pack light and not bring a bunch of formal wear We sailed on the Sky Princess in November/December. A guy in front of us was in shorts on a formal night and was turned away at the MDR. Men can wear slacks and a nice shirt (long or short sleeve) and woman can wear pretty much anything (but again I wouldn’t recommend shorts). We packed very light for our cruise and I just brought 2 dressy tops and DH wore slacks, long sleeve shirt and tie on formal nights.

Also saw a few in tuxedos so people wear what they are comfortable in and pretty much anything goes……except shorts.
