Equinox suite amenities

I have read that Equinox has been Revolutionized, but cannot see if all of the Retreat amenities (especially

a private deck area ) have been added.  I noted that Michael's Club became a Retreat Lounge, but need to

have that deck area!

We had a Sky Suite on the Equinox last month.  There is the Retreat Sun Deck all the way forward.  Luminae was excellent.

They Equinox dry dock for Revolution was cut short as it had to be done in Spain rather than the Bahamas due to a dry dock accident leaving the dry dock unusable.   Only part of the sun deck Revolution was completed, the major component omitted was the hot tub.  There is no water feature on the Equinox Retreat sun deck.

Also there is no bar on the Retreat Sun Deck on Equinox. The waiters go downstairs to the bar in the Sky lounge to get drinks. Very little shade. It is accessible only by stairs. I can't imagine what they were thinking to make this area unacceptable for those with mobility issues.

My last cruise on Celebrity prior to the lockdown was on Equinox.  Since there was no elevator access to the Retreat Sun Deck, I never went up to check it out.  One would hope this will be addressed in a future upgrade.  I did mention my displeasure about it to the captain when I joined him for dessert in the cafe one afternoon.

Are you sure this was Equinox? I was just on there last month and didn't see a hot tub, sunglass or that cabinet with towels...and I was up there every day in a different section each time.

I heard the suites were not done; is this correct?

They got new bedding, soft goods, new balcony furniture.  But they were not Hoppenized, which as far as I'm concerned is a good thing.

I was also on Equinox in Oct. and there was no hot tub. I think Jim has confused his pictures of a different Retreat Sun Deck.

I was on the Equinox in August in a Sky Suite there was no hot tub that I saw, and no shade. Also, no bar, the Retreat attendants would have to go to the pool bar and bring back drinks. In August in the hot Caribbean sun the Retreat deck was too hot to stay very long with no shade. However, the Retreat lounge and Luminae were excellent. We spend every afternoon before dinner in the lounge for before dinner drinks.

 

Also, since the Revolutionizing was only partially done our Sky Suite had the same old tired and badly warn furniture. Our Butler said the only things changed were the drapes and bedding in the suite cabins.
