GOARMY Posted January 4, 2022 #7 Share Posted January 4, 2022 Got Regent's email about an hour ago. Our segment from Tokyo to San Francisco canceled. No FCCs; strictly cash refund within the next 60 days. That's the third try for Tokyo within the last 20 months or so. Will try again, perhaps in '23 or '24. GOARMY! Japan is still closed to tourists. My daughter lives there and I have been waiting two years to visit!
rloke Posted January 5, 2022 #9 Share Posted January 5, 2022 Presumably only the segmenters are canceled and the World Cruisers will still go in a “bubble”? Would be a nice private yacht bubble…😀
Pcardad Posted January 5, 2022 Author #10 Share Posted January 5, 2022 Nope - cancelled and will be running loops in Caribbean instead.
travelwell Posted January 5, 2022 #11 Share Posted January 5, 2022 Tokyo to San Francisco canceled. Refund to be next 60 days. Been there, done that, when we canceled the WC last summer.
rloke Posted January 5, 2022 #12 Share Posted January 5, 2022 @Pcardad Presumably “Porsche Car Dad”? 😉 Yikes…really? I hope the World Cruisers would somehow be allowed to back out before boarding tomorrow if so desired?
BBWC Posted January 5, 2022 #13 Share Posted January 5, 2022 Yes, full refund if you choose, or you can do any number of segments, but we can decide on board. Refund of 30% of WC cost if you stay the entire 120 days.
Vizsladog Posted January 5, 2022 #14 Share Posted January 5, 2022 ...and if you don't do the entire 120 days, 15% off on days cruised, and prorated refund on days unused.
Vizsladog Posted January 5, 2022 #15 Share Posted January 5, 2022 ...and one segment to the Amazon, and the last segment a Panama canal transit.
HotRoot Posted January 5, 2022 #16 Share Posted January 5, 2022 The World Cruisers are in San Francisco having room service instead of the Gala event. They received an email and had a hard copy delivered to their hotel room.

mrlevin Posted January 5, 2022 #19 Share Posted January 5, 2022 (edited) Is there a link to the Miami Miami segments and pricing? edited to add: 30% is a pittance; Caribbean excursions so much cheaper than rest of the world. Plus, there is a two category upgrade sale going on now. If I can get one or more segments for $400 pp/pd I will jump on it. Wendy The Wanderer Posted January 5, 2022 #20 Share Posted January 5, 2022 So sad, who would have thought more than 18 months ago when we were in the process of cancelling our 2021 WC that the next one would end like this.
Ladys Mom Posted January 5, 2022 #21 Share Posted January 5, 2022 It is so sad. Beginning to go through the grieving process. Have been planning the 2021 then 2022 world cruise since 2019. Having it end in the cruise hotel with a grab and go dinner and breakfast is just too hard to take. Only positive is that we shortly will be home to spend more time with our grandchildren. Better luck next time.
