But keeping vaccinated cruisers out of your port where there has already a 500% increase in cases won't do anything to help COVID but will punish the local economy.  

OK so there are fully vaccinated people on these ships, some with boosters, who are unfortunately testing positive for COVID currently on the ship.  Same with crew.  Omicron has changed the rules.    These fully vaccinated cruisers can actually also become infected in the port stop.  And then spread the virus to other fully vaccinated passengers back on the ship.  And to the crew.

The fully vaccinated people are also getting on with a negative rapid test which doesn't catch all of the positives.  My son tested negative with a rapid test and had a positive PCR test the next day.  Not saying I want to have to take and wait for a PCR but I'm sure that's how some are getting through.

X should be upfront and inform everyone exactly why they were denied boarding and exactly how many crew and pax are quarantined.  The lack of transparency leads to this kind of speculation and rumors.  It also give the passengers an idea as to what may be more risky behavior or activities for which they may decide to opt out knowing the situation.

If you don't mind me asking, what ports were you scheduled to go to. Other than Nassau. I have a cruise coming up and trying to get an idea of who has been denying port.

Agree. Saw five ships docked there very recently. One was an Oasis class.

We made it to our One stop, Puerto Plata Dominican Republic.  Great to get off & get out to explore the island.  Beautiful beaches, nice warm  clear water. Friendly people. Great cigars...

The problem is that this will never end, as new types will be discovered for the near/long future.  We must all, live like us Floridians and move on with our lives.  If I wanted NYC/NJ/CA I would live there!

Equinox ported at Nassau on Tuesday, Jan. 4th.  There were several other ships there that day as well.  I believe masks were required in Nassau - even outside.
