Good for you! Please give them my booking numbers and tell them to call me 24/7. Never had an upsell offer in 15 years.

Go into your booking and check your to do list in the cruise manager. That's where I found mine.

How soon before a cruise departs do they usually call about upgrade offers/show up on the website?

We are sailing 2 weeks from tomorrow. They didn't call me. I opened my cruise manager to look at my to-do list and it said there was an upgrade available for me. I don't know how long it was sitting there before I saw it.

They're busy scrambling to fill cabins, I wouldn't expect this number of recent upsell offers to continue longer than the spate of cancellation from Covid/Omicron. I'm sure this new method of tucking the offer into To-Do lists is easier than calling endlessly.

I sail at the end of Feb & got an email a few days ago.  I didn't take because I already have balcony, it was for Ocean Suite for just under $600.....but, the cabins are over a canopy.  No thanks...I like to see mostly water, not this huge white roof.

I did not receive a call......came through email......and I see it on my account.

I just got a visit from the upgrade fairy for my Jan 31 sailing on the Sunshine. Moving from an interior on deck 2 up to a balcony on deck 8 for a total of $170. I jumped right on that.

😎😎😎

I've read on here where some folks were being moved from deck two for free to higher decks. As deck two was supposedly converted to the covid floor.

My original booking was for deck one and they moved me to deck 2 for free stating that the cabin I had originally booked was going to be unavailable at the time of my sailing.

What is the area code they call from? I usually don’t answer out of state, but don’t want to miss a good upgrade….

Area Code 305, usually.

Note that 786 covers the same area (Miami) as an overlay.

For our 2-20-22 Magic cruise, we initially booked a deluxe ocean view cabin on deck 2 for ~$1400.  We got a price drop of ~400 a couple of months ago, so ~$1000 for two including taxes, port fees and gratuities.  Went into booking one morning and we had been upgraded to a Deck 8 forward balcony free of charge.  Got the upgrade offer last week for $624 total for Grand suite which included taxes, port fees, and extra grats for suite, so $1624 all in for two, which is around $200 pp more than our original deluxe OV.  Checked price for Grand Suite on mock booking, and we are paying half the price of a new booking.  Can't imagine us ever getting a price like that again, so we grabbed it.

Now if we can manage not to test positive and not have our cruise cancelled.....⛱️

We had an L-shaped balcony on Freedom for this Sunday's sailing.  I always keep an eye out for empty cabins.  Saw the aft wrap next to my L-shape open up. Have always wanted to sail in one.  Called my pvp, and upsold for $300 - a bargain on top of the low price I had paid for my L-shaped.  Someone grabbed my former cabin within a few hours.

People getting moved off deck 2, I can’t help to think that’s so they can set up a covid quarantine area. Nice upgrade though!

They moved us off of deck one up to deck two. I got an email that said my cabin assignment had been changed because the cabin I booked on deck one would "not be in service" at the time of my sailing.

Then I got the upgrade offer later. I think they are using Deck 1 as the quarantine area.

My neighbor got a "Free" email offer from Carnival. He jumped on a "Suite" deal for some ridiculous price sailing in February 2022. Nice!!!

I did this one also, was $150pp plus the fees. Includes drinks on us in the casino.

No, I believe the scenic OV are the cabins at the very front with the window nearly the size of the wall.

The deluxe OV is just a bit bigger with a 2nd washroom with tub and sink in addition to the full BR.

Those scenic OV's look awesome!

So this is usually only available after final payment? Or is it anytime? I've been checking and haven't seen anything but I still have two weeks or so to make final payment. I figured I'd wait to see if there were any upgrades but if they don't initiate these offers until after final payment then it's for naught.
