We always go to Pancho's whenever we stop in Cozumel 🙂.  My oldest son (pictured here) insists upon it lol.

We love Pancho’s.

Our last time in Cozumel was the first time we did not go.  My wife did not want to walk or take a taxi.

For those interested here are the results of the internet speed test via the Xcelerate Streaming service at 7:38 am on our way to Nassau.

Thanks for the update (that's something I periodically check as well - especially of things seem glitchy). I'm guessing that upload stat is just a fluke, as you were obviously able to upload the results!

Just a temporary OT moment - since a number of people reported their Cozumel/Pancho's traditions... I've only been to the downtown location one time, as often we're either docking at Puerta Maya or the International Pier (just a short walk). So, I'd have to say my favorite location is the one at Puerta Maya. 🙂

OK, here’s an interesting tidbit I learned this morning regarding the streaming service when I tried to open up Cruise Critic and view some recent threads. Earlier, I was able to fully logon to CC without any issues. But, when I tried again a few minutes ago, all I got was an “outline” of the various 100+ CC sub level links.

In the past I would only see this if I was using the Basic Surf package. I tried various things to remedy the situation. But what finally worked was to sign off my streaming package, count to 10, and then log back on.

In the past 24 hours, this useless “outline” issue has happened twice, and on both occasions, this was the only solution that allowed me to fully open up once again into the CC Boards section. Clearing cache, turning Wi-Fi off and then back on, etc. never worked. Just thought I’d pass this little tidbit along just in case you run into a similar situation when using the Xcelerate Streaming service. 😎

Good food, good (big) margaritas.  I also love the ambiance 🙂

It just "feels" like vacation!  🙂

I was enjoying "vacation" so much one time that I thought if one margarita was good, two would be BETTER. From that point on, I make a point to stop at one. Yes, I'm a lightweight!

Here’s another tidbit if you are going on a Reflection B2B anytime soon and it’s time for you to prepare for your antigen test.

First and foremost, follow the procedures in the letter they send you to register on the Trust One server by using the provided QR code. To launch the Trust One app, focus your phone camera over it and then tap on the link called “qrcodes.pro”, which will then automatically launch the Trust One app. If for some reason it’s not working for you, may I suggest you venture down to Guest Services and ask them to show you how to do it. It will save you and others a bunch of time in line waiting for the caregivers to do it for those that waited until they arrived.

Second, we showed up about 10 minutes prior to our scheduled time to get in line. When we got there, we were first in the queue but had to wait about 5 minutes while the caregivers helped the folks in front of us to register with Trust One before giving them the 10 second nose swipe. When we finished the process, which took all of 5 minutes to finish the check-in process using the resulting “registration” QR code issued by the app and get tested, there were at least 20 people in the queue. Not sure how many hadn’t preregistered.

Just thought I’d pass this little time saving tidbit along. 😎

I'm at home with my normal home high speed WIFI and have had that happen several times this week. I think it's a Cruise Critic issue.

Our thinking positive to test negative paid off and we are good to go for another week of cruising!! Yay!!! And I might add it will be nice walking around indoors again without having to wear a mask unless we’re in the Casino or Theater (and probably in an occupied elevator)! Yay!!! 😁😁

That could be the case. But it sure was mysterious that when I logged off my streaming account and then back on, all was good.

Now if I had to test my theory at home, I would have to go to Settings -> Wi-Fi -> Forget This Network, then relink to my home network which would require me to log back in with the applicable userid and password. That would definitely be a real pain. But, of course, at home I would probably just go reboot our router as that usually resolves most reduced bandwidth issues which, of course, I can’t do here on the ship. 😎

In my cases, I closed the browser window and was able to go back to the site and it opened properly (sometimes took several tries). It was curious that all other sites were opening normally. That's why I thought it was a problem with Cruise Critic and not a WIFI issue. At any rate, have fun in Nassau (or on board ....whichever floats your boat (pun intended)!

We have arrived in Nassau!!

Any chance that's the port side that's looking out to sea? I hope so, that would at least increase the chance of us having a nice view during our stay there vs. looking at the side of another ship !!

I can confirm that is the port side view.  Sitting on the balcony looking at it now.

Funny you say that, Tom, because I thought the same thing on our 8th trip (over the years) in November to Pancho’s.  I’m definitely a light weight but thought that, since it was thanksgiving 😊, I would have two.  Well, after two for each of us and the two complimentary shots of tequila for our many visits, we barely made it back to the ship and I did not make it to thanksgiving dinner that evening.  When we went back in January, I think I had a little PTSD 😂, because I couldn’t get down just one.  But they are so delicious!!

Just back from our Funky Nassau Jeep Adventure excursion around the older parts of Nassau in an open air jeep and had a great time!!

And for those that are curious if you need to where a mask while walking around downtown Nassau, the answer is yes. In fact there is a $200 fine if you’re caught not wearing one by the COVID police according to our tour guide. But more dramatic is that a business can also be fined $3,000 if you’re cited on their property for not wearing a mask and are not eating or drinking.

The very first time we stopped on Cozumel with a cruise, after our excursion we sort of stumbled upon the downtown Pancho's and had a great time ... and then stumbled our way back to the ship. 😁 The next time was when we discovered the Puerta Maya location ... which made it much easier to stumble back to the ship ... except for the time we stopped after Hurricane Wilma struck the island, and all that was left of the pier was a big square block in water, and we had to tender back and forth. But, always make a point to stop for either lunch or at least some munchies and a margarita.

As others have said, the food is great, the staff is friendly, the Marimba band is always pleasant, and it's become a vacation tradition. 🙂
