MeHeartCruising Posted February 14, 2022 #7 Share Posted February 14, 2022 At least $5 per transaction + your own bank's charge. (Prior to Covid)
dallasdan Posted February 14, 2022 #8 Share Posted February 14, 2022 On the Dream in December the charge was $ 6.50 from the ATM. Plus my bank charged me $2.00.
toby26 Posted February 16, 2022 #9 Share Posted February 16, 2022 Just off the Horizon, the fee is $6.50.
nwcruiselover Posted February 16, 2022 #10 Share Posted February 16, 2022 Plus if you request a balance first then make a withdrawal, they charge that as two transactions.
RWolver672 Posted February 16, 2022 #11 Share Posted February 16, 2022 From what I've read on here, the ATMs usually run out of money fairly early in the cruise. So plan ahead and use them early in the cruise.

If your debit is attached to your Sail & Sign card, It's super easy (and free) to get cash from your card on slot machines – then go to the cage to "cash out." Tables have a fee, but slots are free. And you just might win !!!!! My son (first time cruiser) was being shown how to do this by his older brother, placed the minimum bet (88 cents if I remember correctly), and won $30 on his first and only spin.
dallasdan Posted February 18, 2022 #14 Share Posted February 18, 2022 I wouldn't put a debit card on my sail and sign account. Carnival places many holds on your bank account throughout the cruise. The holds may take a week or more to remove from your bank account.
travelplus Posted February 18, 2022 #15 Share Posted February 18, 2022 I imagine that a charge would apply.

This works if you have a credit card on your account as well.
vwrestler171 Posted February 18, 2022 #17 Share Posted February 18, 2022 It was a $6.95 plus whatever fee your financial institution charges.
Colorado Cruzer Posted February 18, 2022 #18 Share Posted February 18, 2022 All of the ATMs were empty by day 2 of my last cruise in 2020. I have a vacation rule that I go to the bank and get the cash we need (large bills/small bills/foreign currency/etc), then everything else goes on credit card to pay off later. No ATMs, especially in vegas - lol!
Brkintx Posted February 18, 2022 #19 Share Posted February 18, 2022 As others have said, Carnival's current ATM transaction fee is $6.50. Also important to know that there is a maximum withdrawal amount of $500 per transaction. So if the goal is to withdraw significant cash, the ATM is probably not the best option.
