Ok after a few last minute Covid test adventures we are on board for our 40th Anniversary!  I’ll post pictures of the Patter as we go along. My wife just got a massage and I go in a hour. They had a 25% off special on embarkation day. We are in a suite so we get free Crown Dinner tonight. This cruise is two back to back Eastern Caribbean cruises but with different ports each week. Much more to come

Living vicariously thru you as we depart in 6 weeks on Caribbean Princess.

DH is doing Western the 1st week & I am staying on for Eastern the next myself--it was too good a deal not to!

We disembarked today.   DH tested positive as soon as we got home (he didn't mask, I did). We are both healthy and double boosted.  Very little masking on board last week.  Suggest taking precautions.

Thank you for bringing this to the attention of others.  It is surely an act of kindness.  The reality is that this virus is still here and that some of us will get much sicker than others.  Ignoring Covid precautions is dangerous.  I know that I don't want to look back on a cruise remembering how sick we got.  Wear masks and wash hands frequently.  Don't pack into elevators.  Be sensible.

We disembarked today too..... both tested negative when we got home... didn't mask at all on the ship but spent most of time outside or away from people that looked like they would not be pro-science.

Thank you for posting.

my last three cruises....ships were less than half full.....not sure what a full ship will be like. If the staffing is adequate, it should be fine in my opinion. If the ship is understaffed...I question Princess in risking the quality of the onboard experience.

I look forward to boarding next Sat the 4th.

Save some bacon for me😛

Wife and I just got off yesterday 5/28/22. She test positive today. We were on Oasis of the seas last month and I tested positive. Both spent a lot of time in the casino(s). I wonder how wide spread Covid is throughout the cruise lines. Fortunately our cases were/are mild thanks to vaccination

It's been at least three years since we cruised Princess.  Two cruises since Covid on Celebrity.  Last week on Caribbean Princess the crew really had to hustle to service full ship but they did their best.    Food had gone downhill, especially Marketplace.  Service much more impersonal.  Cruisers we met new to Princess said they probably wouldn't sail them again.

Many debates about Elite status not being worth it anymore….this is a cruise where it will come in handy.

-Early boarding (Lunch in the dining room was full and line out the door, we beat the rush)

-No waiting today for water shuttles

-High tea delivered to stateroom (only on sea days and I’m sure it will be packed)

Here’s the Princess Patter. No one is wearing masks except us. We don’t care as we want to stay healthy. Wetting Crooners last nigh after wonderful dinner at Crown Grill. Service a little slow but we didn’t care. Duo piano and singer at Crooners was a little loud but she toned it down for the later set. Norm

Overcast weather today in Princess Cay, so we’ll be staying on board.🌧

Observations so far 🛳

-This is my 5th Princess cruise since restart the others were on the Sky and Enchanted.

-The App has always worked for me in the past but I’m having issues onboard (no issues prior to boarding) nothing is loading correctly.

-I was able to easily stream TV from my phone through my Hulu App last night so it's not the Wifi.

-They don’t have a kiosk to print out your account on this ship SO don’t forget to double check your charges

-Leave a note for your steward if you want printed patters each day

-A full wrap around Promenade deck is always a plus for me

-Breaking back out my mask because it’s a bit difficult to social distance (2 were provided but I brought some from home as well)

Tonight we are doing dinner in the MDR and checking out the comedy show.

I’m enjoying a drink in Crooners and relaxing so it’s a good Sunday.

We'll be on June 4 so this is quite helpful.  Planning to stay on board at Princess Cays regardless of the weather and just hang out by the pool.  Two things if you happen to wander that way.  Are the casino and Churchills open today?  No bigee if you don't have a chance.

Crooners was our goto pre-dinner bar.  Got very fond of the Bourbon & Blood.

Enjoy.

I'll be on this ship in August and considering a massage.  Can you share the onboard price before the discount? Thank you!

Casino opens at 3pm today-last water shuttle is 4:30.
Churchills is open but the bar portion isn’t serving. (It’s noon currently)

Well, Norm. You're wrong. There is one more wearing a 😷.   I wish you all would have gotten off the ship.  The weather is wonderful without the sun.  Oops, there it is...still good. Of course it helps to have a Sanctuary bungalo.  Not rich, just a shipload of obc.  You all look beautiful on the ship!1653849082635170010757527685145.thumb.jpg.3f8b4c6d5851036284576f8e81e4fb81.jpg

Yes I exaggerated a little about the masks. There are a few. We wear ours because we want to spend two weeks in our suite not in a quarantine cabin. My mask is a medical issue not a political issue. I will never understand how the two got mixed.
We did the Hobie Cat at Princess Cays and had a lot of fun. It isn’t hard to do and we’ve done it before at Sandals in St Lucia and Montego Bay. Norm
