Been There, Planning That Posted July 1, 2022 #3 Share Posted July 1, 2022 (edited) Today’s the birthday of a country filled with hypothermia-inducing lakes, biting horseflies the size of toaster ovens, and people who say “sorry” when they bump into inanimate objects. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. Happy Canada Day! We love exploring other parts of the world, but we consider Canada a great home. Tango99 Posted July 1, 2022 #7 Share Posted July 1, 2022 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦HAPPY CANADA DAY!🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦From Ottawa … where there are happy signs that normalcy in our celebrations is returning. And that security of our beloved space, especially at the front of the parliament buildings, will prevail. Even if it means some parts of the party is a few klms away. Canada Eh? No problem! We also eat Beavertails! 🤣
frteach Posted July 2, 2022 #8 Share Posted July 2, 2022 Glad to hear from a resident of Ottawa that a more peaceful celebration was experienced. Let's take back our flag, which is a precious symbol for all Canadians, not just those of a particular political persuasion. They have no monopoly on patriotism. 5
Rare A&L_Ont Posted July 3, 2022 Author #9 Share Posted July 3, 2022 I flew my Ontario Flag until June 28, and then switched it for the Canadian Flag. It will fly now until the snow comes. I also added some a message for those as we drove to Toronto.
Rare A&L_Ont Posted July 3, 2022 Author #10 Share Posted July 3, 2022 A couple pics from the Canada Day game. My wife’s and some using their umbrellas for the the gentle rain. These were the lines a good hour prior to gates opening. Homeplate Lady rolling in. Great tribute to Martin. There were over 42,000 people in attendance. The noon game yesterday had less people but was still the second busiest of the season of the four we have been too. This year we have seen 1 win and three losses.

Our freedoms around the houses of our government and the Peace Tower itself, have been one of the most respected on the planet. With new measures in place, let’s hope that prevails. Though some new protocol under way may mean traffic restrictions or diversions will continue. We can always use our LRT 🫢

Rare CDNPolar Posted July 9, 2022 #14 Share Posted July 9, 2022 We were on Viking Homelands in the Baltic Sea on Canada Day and that night was a special dancing under the stars evening on the pool deck with the pool roof open. The Cruise Director wished us a Happy Canada Day and there was a special drink that was red and white. It was nice that we were recognized as there was an even larger celebration and recognition for the 4th of July.
Magicat Posted July 9, 2022 #15 Share Posted July 9, 2022 Celebrated Canada Day here in Mexico by serving my friends peameal on a bun and poutine with cesars in the morning for brunch.
