Best way to get to Cheers bar

Traveling on NCL Joy on 9/6/22.  While in Boston, we want to visit the "Cheers Bar".

What is the best way for a group of 6 seniors to get from the cruise port to the bar?

Take an UBER from the Boston Cruise Port.

Understand that the outside looks like Cheers on TV.  The inside looks like a gift shop full of T shirts and shot glasses and never looked like the TV Show.

 

There is a Cheers Bar at Faneuil Hall that does look like the TV show.

As others have mentioned-- Uber/Lyft will be your easiest way to get there and most likely save you a wait for a cab. 

 

Used to be known as the Bull & Finch Pub until a few years ago. Downstairs, as depicted in the TV show is the original pub which looks nothing like the one from the TV show inside. Upstairs they built a fairly charmless replica bar which sort of looks like the one from the show but lacks any of the warmth of the pub downstairs. 

 

If it is on the list I would definitely go grab a few drinks downstairs but there are vastly better places to eat nearby.

This one as a victim of the pandemic. Closed in Aug 2020. The Beacon Hill location at Hampshire House is still in business.

I was just there last week and must have missed that........never saw the bar.

Take the hop on hop off..One of the best is off the cruise ship in Boston...so much to see.

No wonder I missed it then........
