Tractorgurl Posted July 23, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 23, 2022 (edited) Does anyone out there have the recipe on how to make the delicious French toast that was served on the Majestic Princess buffet? It was absolutely to die for and I would love to make it at home. (It’s not the corn flake recipe one) Thanks in advance for any help! I don't think there's anything really unusual about the non-cornflake French toast. I think it uses some kind of cinnamon swirl, thick sliced bread, so you'd need to find something like that or make your own. Otherwise, standard French toast batter should work. This isn't what you asked for, but it has the right elements in it and looks good to me: https://www.food.com/recipe/disneys-french-toast-49232 Edited July 23, 2022 by Sea Hag more info

Purple Gallinule Posted July 23, 2022 #5 Share Posted July 23, 2022 Next time you are on a Princess ship, go to breakfast or lunch (on sea days) in the dining room and order the James Beard French Toast. It is my favorite breakfast of all time.
mtnesterz Posted July 23, 2022 #6 Share Posted July 23, 2022 My guess is it's the James Beard recipe or variation to meet the needs of bulk preparation for the ship. If so, here it is. Challa=brioche If it's not the one, it's really good. https://www.jamesbeard.org/recipes/challah-french-toast

Do you slice the English Muffin or dip it whole, or does it not matter? I never thought of using English Muffins. I never thought of using English Muffins. It's a loaf, not a muffin. Lots of recipes online. Check your local bakeries. Publix Grocery store bakes it in house at times as well. I'll have to try it.

Ptroxx Posted August 11, 2022 #15 Share Posted August 11, 2022 On discovery princess these French toast rolls I guess you’d call them in the buffet. kinda like the Hawaiian dinner rolls you see in the grocery store. I’d guess soaked in the batter. they were so good. and add the special crispy bacon. Yum.

Did you leave out the last step, leave it on a steam table for 20 minutes?
